Marky Mark
« on: June 13, 2008, 04:38:18 PM »

I'm going to see Marky's latest movie tonight which also happens to be Shyamalan's latest. I would have to say from what I've seen it should be interesting and of course M. Night always brings his A-game with endings.

Until I come back from The Happening tonight to convey my feelings about it (because I know you want to know), perhaps we should use this thread to discuss good / bad movie endings or why Marky Mark will never live down The Funky Bunch and "Good Vibrations" no matter how hard he tries.

EDIT: Oh yeah, http://youtube.com/watch?v=UnzgNAzquCw

All I know about Marky Mark is that I've got a picture of him from a photoshoot he did back at a place I used to work at hanging on my wall.

And he's ugly.

I predicted the endings of Sixth Sense and The Village about an hour in, never watched another of his movies.

Cherubim is plural; Genesis 3:24 specifies one flaming sword. Presumably flaming swords were in short supply."

I have been seriously intrigued by the trailers for The Happening. Looks like it'll be good.

I have not seen an M. Night Shyamalan movie, and I am not sorry.

Well, I know if you are set on seeing it you will anyway but let me just advise against it.

It started off the way you thought it would and continued on that path until it ended the way you thought it would. There weren't any surprises in the story-line sense and the ending is not just obvious but the movie tells you how it's going to end before it happens.

Predictableness aside, there were a few laughs but they were overshadowed by some questionable acting on Marky's part. I think he tried too hard to be a pussy and the character didn't fit him too well.

Overall, I was as disappointed as I have been with many other movies lately which is saying a lot because I just saw The Strangers the other night.

A buddy of mine told me about the movie, and let me know the "surprise" ending.  Found it leaked on the internet.  I wasn't impressed with what I heard.  Don't think I'll be spending two hours on this.
