Resolving proxy?
« on: April 12, 2010, 10:42:47 AM »

Suddenly I'm getting a delay in establishing an internet connection. No changes have been made, and I dont use a proxy. The browser opens (ITC Chrome) and

instead of loading the page immediately (as it had been doing); it sits and spins its wheels for a while with a message in the Status Bar " Resolving proxy... "

Eventually it loads, but what's going on? Proxy?? Why all of a sudden it has to resolve a proxy for every new connection? Anyone have any ideas?

Oh, BTW - this is on any page or link I try to load; not just here or any one specific site.

?

I know you said you don't use one. But perhaps it's checking for one before establishing a connection.

i have had that problem and all i did was disable it.

Here is a site with a link that could help you if that doesn't work.

I can't post on the page sorry for using the mail

He already got me right. :-)  Thanks, tho.

Also Thanks MadOne; I appreciates it! It worked, btw.
