A Dilemma
« on: June 25, 2003, 11:22:54 AM »

Now I realize this is a geek forum, but I'm at a dilemma. I have landed a nice ACed database entry job this summer, pulling $10 under the table, and I'm wondering should I move towards a better stereo for my transportation, or should I supe my computer up beyond anything I will ever use? Haha

It's pretty obvious to me. You car already has an engine. Why would you want the speakers to push it around? Go with the PC. Everyone else here will say the same thing.

BTW would you mind picking a different avatar? Another member uses it curently it it will give me headaches if you keep it.

I'd go with a better computer. You can do a whole lot more with a better computer, and will last you a lot longer in the long run if you don't somehow break it.

Saving money for something like a better car, or maybe even a house (or a better one, if for some reason you already have your own house) would be ideal.

Overall, best advice would be putting at least half of each check away in the bank to get some interest on that money. If you can afford to put more in the bank, the better off you'll be.

Go for the computer.

Stop leaving your house.  Drink no beverages besides Mountain Dew, Coke, and coffee.  Eat only Ramen Noodles and pizza.  Live to code.  Code to live.  Be one of us.  One of us.

Doesn't Mountain Dew cause severe cramps, plus the possible transportation of worms into ones body?

Coke and coffee for me.
