I currently use XP, and it's never crashed. But I'm looking to expand my horizons a bit and learn some new shit in the process. I'd like to build a new box and put Linux on it, but I'm not sure if it's worth my time and energy. Any suggestions?

I like the original Lunchables stuff; crackers, meat, and cheese. I also seem to remember a product I loved (not Lunchables, but same ballpark) made by Jimmy Dean. It was a little sandwich kit, a lot more than you got with Lunchables, but the same price.
