Hello World!
« on: December 11, 2008, 03:07:35 AM »

Greetings. Call me Double Botch.

Quote
GM: Roll to stop the vehicle before you plow through a poorly visible obstacle at high speed.

DB: Okay. Thank you extra points in Drive =)

DB: /roll  *botch* We're so screwed

GM: You overreact and miss the brake peddle. You stomp the floorboard. Dumbass.

DB: I want to roll to avoid the obstacle without stopping.

GM: Roll it.

DB: /roll *botch* Whisky Tango Foxtrot!!

GM: Besides stomping the floor like an idiot, you misjudge your turn and plow through the little girl you were trying to avoid. You take a derangement...Hysteria.

DB: Fuck.

In addition to fictitious vehicular manslaughter, I enjoy fantasy/science fiction, tech, games, and pretty much all things geek.

I'm probably an odd ball because I have an English degree. I blame the semester I spent learning C from substitute high school teachers after the actual programming teacher's appendix fragged itself.

Now get me that Chinese language file I asked for.

End of Line...

Greetings.

If you would like to take a seat I'll begin sucking your brains out through *this* tube, generally referred to as a straw. Don't worry, you'll get a squeaky clean government approved brain to replace it.

Sounds great, just one thing though. Can we back up my porn for the new brain?

Psht, you can always recreate it.
Unless you use a Hand of God, in which case you have to earn it back again.

Nope. Hunter: The Reckoning.

And I burned the hell out of some Conviction(like karma), hence the derangement for botching it all so bad.

Now whenever there's an innocent in danger I have to roll willpower to keep from getting hysterical and screwing the mission up. My dice must be trying to apologize. Haven't failed a willpower yet. Day late and a dollar short.

Nope. Hunter: The Reckoning.

That was a P&P? Cool. I'd only ever played the videogame.

Yeah it is P&P, published by White Wolf. It's d10. Wikipedia

They've recently rebooted the world that this all takes place in. The World of Darkness.

You'll find a lot of different games based in this world where you can play Vampires, Werewolves, etc.

I like Hunter the best because humans really are the underdogs. You have to work hard, even as a hunter, to actually put something supernatural down.

I haven't played the video game but I've heard that it is painfully awful when compared to the P&P experience.

I only played it because I could get it for $5 on the original Xbox. And it made for some decently entertaining multiplayer (I mean, come on, how can you not enjoy giant zombie teddy bears?)

I recognized what kind of geek you were just by your name. I used to double botch all the time, but didnt they make the new system so that is was almost impossible now?

Oh, and Vampire: The Masquerade is my only love.

We can't be friends.

Yeah you're right. I would never eat a cow that I thought was particularly friendly. Oh wait, yes I would.
