I have been browsing HN and Raven recently, and found some interesting references...can someone explain the history between HN/Teh GeEkErY and Raven?
No ulterior motives here, just pure curiousity.

There is no significant relationship between all of them. It's not like one site started the other. Hacker Network was the first out of all of the sites, The Geekery followed not too long after Hacker Network, and Randy Raven showed up at Hacker Network about a year ago. Hacker Network is about two years old, The Geekery about a year and a half, and I really don't know about the Raven Boards.
The Raven Boards became so disliked amongst all the HNers because the head Raven, Randy Raven, decided to start trolling around the Hacker Network forums. He was banned. He didn't like that he was banned and some of his other buddies showed up at Hacker Network causing trouble. They were banned as well and they got mad, too. After a few times of banning people the HNers got fed up and decided to "not like" the Ravens any more, and that is why HNers and Ravens don't mix well to this day.
Some members that post here are also members from Hacker Network. I (me being the owner of this place) have had an account over at the Hacker Network Forums (http://www.hackernetwork.com/forum) for about a year and a half. I have come to "know" most of the members there, and am one of the origional members from the first forum before Crazy Greek decided to FTP at 4AM to Hacker Network while drunk, killing the entire thing. Actually, I think that came AFTER the switch to VB.
I have the ability to update the Hacker Network main page, and I have not forgotten about it. Believe me, I want to put something up there to entertain people just as much as some of the cry babies around here want attention. But the thing is, I'm out of ideas.
I must say, Hacker Network and The Geekery have built a bridge online from one site to another, even though it may not be a significant bridge, it still is one that can grow longer and more traveled, and it's still doing that.
