I just started running a 4E game....................great for cleaning out minions.
<irc>
Wait, I almost forgot, 4E isn't real D&D, it's a Hasbro game for stupid babies and I like playing with dolls
</irc>

Thanks for the hints, they are much appreciated. I have a friend who feels the same about 4E

Welcome btw :D, love the picture.

Yea, I adore Man Ray's work. I have actually seen an original print here in Denver, it was really neat.

BTW- Love your signature, I am a huge fan of XKCD.

I'm not so much of an organ donor rather than an organ lender.

wow, what about being an organ trader? Like trading 1/2 a lung for a second liver?

I have actually worked on cadavers before, shortly after which I decided that ditch my medical career and go into business. I don't think I'd be okay being a cadaver- I think it would be difficult for anyone I left behind. Regardless, I am an organ donor because it is really important and I'll have no use for any of it.

But I am liking the infinite wish thing, so maybe I'll hold his keyboard ransom...  :lol: :lol:

Thanks for the encouragement!  I think they are playing the D4 version. Do you play D&D? What do you think is the best class(?) or Race (?)

My BF is so sweet, he says "of course, I want you there". But he might just not want to hurt my feelings....

Anarchy / D&D ?
« on: June 20, 2008, 08:59:25 PM »
So, My boyfriend (who live I with) needs a fourth player for D&D and he invited me to play with his group of guy friends. Generally when the guys come over, I will bake something for them (I want to become a pastry chief, so its good practice) and then hang out for an hour or so, then l will typically try to leave so that they can have some guy time.

I have a couple concerns with starting to play:

1. I only have a vague idea of how to play D&D (though I am willing to learn) and I am not sure where to begin or if I'll even enjoy it. I have kind of played once and I was terribly confused.

2. Although, I am good friends with his guy friends I am worried about becoming that type of girlfriend that is always hanging around. I want my B/F to have some guy time, I mean we have been dating for three years and we live together.

Does anyone play D&D? Have any advice? Is this a good idea? Would it be rude, not to play?

Thanks!

Hitchhikers Guide is a classic. Well I am finally done reading some stupid girl novels (The Twlight Series and the Posion Study series)  and I have started my first grapic novel- "The Watchman"

Anyone here read it? Its pretty cool, I am not sure if i am the comic book type though.

I do have a special place in my heart for Apple Jacks. However I happen to be eating apple jacks when I made my first character in WoW and I was feeling uncreative, at the time.

It should be mentioned that the birth of Apple Jax the gnome was done completely under the pressure of my boyfriend and has never gotten beyond level 6. Never the less, the name has stuck.

Thanks for the nice welcome, I like it here.  :-)

In short, yes.

But I have started to take the bus to work M-F, so my weekend meanderings are offset by what I am saving during the week (both gas and parking fees)

Needless to say I am broke about 90% of the time.

Anarchy / Re: Smoking
« on: June 20, 2008, 01:00:42 PM »
I don't smoke; aside from the occasional Hookah - So I can’t personally say anything about it

However I was listening to NPR the other day, and I heard an author, David Sedaris talking about his new book, "When You Are Engulfed in Flames" which is a collection of personal essays. He read an excerpt from one of his essays in the book that concerned his smoking habit, which I was reminded of when I read your post.

He described how he LOVED to smoke and that he never really believed that anything bad could happen to him because it. He said that he finally quit because the Ritz Carlton got rid of their smoker friendly rooms.

I don’t really think that it is something that is really for/against smoking, but rather a description of his experience with it.

You should check it out, you might identify with what he has to say. Sedaris is also hilarious!

I usually spend my days off driving around Colorado, needlessly. I don't like hanging around the house, it bothers me.
