Hi,
I am Roxi and I drink redbull too, smoke weed and have sex.

A Night in the Roxi?

I went to the local Home Depot yesterday because I wanted to get a new switchplate cover for the front entrance light switches. I hate the standard plastic crap they give you when you move in and wanted this nice wooden one I saw there the other day. Even better it was a four slotter, which is great because most of the ones I see stop at triple switches.

Anyways, the point of this whole story is while looking at switchplace holders, I was brazenly groped. Felt a brush up behind me and somebody grabbing a handful of my rear and just squeezing away. (I keep my wallet in my front pocket, so I know it wasn't a pickpocket attempt) I acted like I hadn't noticed as he passed by. I know it was a he because I counted to 20 then glanced up the isle and it this young latino guy who was walking up the aisle. He glanced back, gave a wink and kinda lingered.

I may have been at Home Depot looking for switchplate covers, but he, obviously, was there looking for caulk.

True story.

I saw that too, but really doubt it's because he called the President a prick. Hell, I've called him worse before and I have yet to be banned. I wonder what the real reason was?

Unless "Prick" is some mortal insult in Sheng or Arabic.

Excuse me, I've got something in my eye

Wow, xolly, you seem to have nailed it.  There's a breaking news headline that the pastor says the burning won't take place if the Muslim center is moved.

Predictable Attention Whore is Predictable. Who knew?

107
So I have this theory about the whole Pastor that wants to burn the Islamic holy book on the 11th:

"I don't like the idea of that community center\house of worship that the Muslims want to build so close to where the WTC was, but looks like they're not budging. What to do? I know! I'll make a big ruckus about how I'm gonna torch a few books. That'll get everybody nice and pissed off. Then, at the last minute, I'll make this grand speech about how in order to 'promote peace and understanding' I'll call the whole thing off since it upset so many people. This will PROVE that we're better people than those damn dirty Muslims!"

I was told there would be singing in this thread. Am I to understand there will, in fact, be no singing?

It's been three weeks into the PX-90 lunch workouts with my boss. Scale says I've dropped ten pounds, and I'm getting compliments at work, but honestly I don't notice any difference yet. Boss says to wait for the full 90 days to pass.

You could switch around the word Gay and Christian and form a more probable sentence.

I have 5 sisters, and it seems that Ms.Swift is one of their favourite artists. I find the music silly. I mean really, romance at 15? ok then! I am pretty sure that Taylor swift appears only appeals to the females and the older men. What are thoughts on ms. taylor? Me, I prefer some good ol' eminem.

That closet homo? Eh, if that's what you like.

As for Swift, she's OK, I guess.

my word would have to be
Confined
because ive always felt restrained and confined by steriotypes, loyalty, expectations and and other people

There are stereotypes for a reason. It's very noble to rally around "I don't believe in them" but you do. Even on a sub-conscience level.

Loyalty IS something you should feel 'confined' to because you would want your friends to be loyal to you.

Expectations? Those are good things. It means people see potential in you that will challenge you to be the best you can be instead of just another leech on society.

Other people will always confine you. You're confined, in a sense, by your love of family and friends, for example.

Don't take it so hard, it's all life and it doesn't get any easier.

I guess if you're really going to be pushing the "Let's build bridges with people" angle, you probably shouldn't plop it down where it's going to be pissing everybody off.

121
I'm not sure if I posted this already, I'm too lazy to check but...

"The fact that they can build a mosque there says all you need to know about America. The fact that they are insisting on building it there says all you need to know about Islam."

When I read that it made me wonder where an acceptable place to build this would be?

This type of "No Mosque" mindset is spreading to other parts of the country. I know somebody who flat out refuses to even call them "Mosques" but rather calls them "Forts".  :-(

I recently read There is a Monster at the End of This Book by Grover.

I picked it up on a lark, figuring it would by a typical horror/thriller throwaway.

It followed a pretty obvious course through the old cliches of the genre most of the way through, but the ending threw me for a shock that had me catatonic in existential malaise for weeks afterwards.

NOTE: DO NOT READ FURTHER IF YOU DO NOT WANT IT TO BE SPOILED!!!

When I found out that the monster in the book was indeed Grover I thought, "My god... it could be any of us."

Yes that's right, the narrator of the book, the kindly and gentle guide through this thrill-ride, was indeed the monster of which he spoke.

This raised many, many questions. It seems from reflection that Grover himself was unaware that he was the monster.

However, in the modern and postmodern likelihood of unreliable narration, it seems that it could just of easily been a clever deception by the monster, to lure the reader into his confidence before springing his trap.

But the question remains. Does a monster know he is a monster? Or does his twisted logic somehow rationalize his monstrosity and allow it run rampant?

Also, if this physically harmless appearance could harbor the monster of the book, doesn't that mean that anyone could be a monster? That "evil has no face" as they say?

Ultimately, it brought me to reflect that one may be a monster and not even be full conscious of the fact. That one may be revealed to be monstrous, but only at the end of a mysterious and terrible life of lies.
