If he did turn it upside down, that reverses the polarity on the shadow mask, thus causing the RGB guns to misfire. The overvoltage alone wouldn't cause the problem, but the reverse polarity is what sends the spike down to the AGP VGA Adapter but your OS should detect it and send an Improper Bus Parity Trap Flag to your IO Subsystem, which acts in conjunction with your AMI static bytes to shut down your system. He should be been A-OK if he defrags his static IPs ASAP.

It's "realize" not "realise", dear. Common mistake. This will be interesting to watch. A side question, please. Why bother joining up if you're going to make it a point to tick off the people who run the place? I'm certain you could do better things with your time if you have no intent to provide worthwhile content here. Re-registering once you've been banned may not be as easy as you anticipate if you're IP gets blocked. Why am I being nice now? I'm fickle like that, I guess. Unless you've joined just to troll. That was just to make the screen goes "BRRRRZZZT!" and give you a cool color show. CTRL+ALT+DEL and use task manager to find out if DOOM.EXE is being used. If it is, End Task, if not, reboot and go into safe mode. You should be able to delete it just fine in safe mode.

Having an extra one is fine. Just store it somewhere cool where it won't get so hot the ink will dry up. They don't really break easily unless they become contaminated. Just don't touch the contact points and you should be fine.

Is this an additional print head? If you hit Canon's website and do a FAQ search for that model by catagory, there is a nifty flash page that shows what to do with the printhead. Sorry, I can't link directly to it because of the way Canon has the page set up.
