If you want a cheap system and don't intend to Photoshop anything or run intense games, the by all means use a Celeron. It would make a fine word processing/web browsing machine.

Watch, right before the election we'll suddenly find all of Saddam's WMDs. Never mind that they will likely be of US manufacture. Either that or we'll wind up miraculously finding Osama. I guess I'm just a bit cynical.
 Then again, if Bush is high enough in the polls before the election none of these two events will happen. I doubt anything serious is going to come from this investigation.

I've been using an XP1800+ for about two years now and I've never had any problems with it. It runs a little hot, but I'm probably going to get a better heatsink\fan combo soon. As soon as I find a good one that glows, that is.
