Here's what you need to do: Kill one and put the head on a tiny pike out in the front yard as a warning to all the others.

Still at 176, but went from 176.8 to 176.2, so it's something. Going to kick up the cardio more.

I weigh myself consistently, every Friday morning when I wake up, using the same scale. I want to break 175\174 end of next week.

ITT: Xolik reached 175. Ah yeah! 10 more to go!

Today's rant: Scripted co-workers.

My direct boss: (If conversation=1, then start each sentence with "You realize, " end sentence with ", right?" regardless of topic) "You realize that, back in the ancient days, druids were actually space aliens, right?" "You realize that I love to proclaim assumptions that you know the same things I know about idiotic topics that nobody actually gives two shits about, that way when you say no, I sound so much smarter than you, right?"
Also, (If silence = longer than 10 minutes, then goto "overused jokes") "ANOTHER DAY ANOTHER NICKLE AFTER TAXES" <--repeat every time somebody walks in to the room.
Sometimes he changes the script to start every sentence with "Basically, ....." but those are more rare.

Then there's this one guy who makes it a point to always enter the room halfway into a verse from "Good Morning America, How Are You". Won't say a damn thing until he's got the door halfway open then he bursts into mid-verse. HAY I'M MAKING PEOPLE THINK I COME TO WORK SINGING I'M SO COOL!

I work with robots.

WISE FROM YO GWAVE

Here's the deal. I ballooned up to 196lbs. Yeah. Not too happy about that. That was about two or three months ago right when I was entertaining the idea of joining my boss for his PX-90 stuff.

I'm at 176 now and dropping. My target goal is 165 by end of December. Combination of cardio\weights and eating better (WHO KNEW AMIRITE?) has worked wonders. Also cutting back on my diet coke intake. Boss says the carbonated water was what was causing me to feel bloated all the damn time.

12 pounds in two months might be a tall order, but I'm going to try it. Also, canoftuna is teh hawtness!  :-D

Is "ladyman" or "ladymen" also acceptable for males?

In Thailand, yes.

Why are men so shocked to find out that women can be wicked?

I'm not really a wicked fairy, I'm just wicked!

anyway i have worked out a solution, thanks to nobody in here, its not a virus i have already tried that.

I didn't say it was a virus, I said it was a trojan. There is a difference.

Did you learn your lesson here? Probably not. But the time you wasted asking other people to do your work for you is better spent figuring it out on your own. That's how true geeks roll.  :-D

There seems to be mixed reaction about the game with most of them being negative about it I feel blogs are meant for chatting and games however short they are are best left in the games room of which there are hundreds out there So, let’s keep chatting rooms as such where you can exchange discussions about any topic under the sun to be honest, I feel that that there is a lot more you can do here than playing mini games

Hey, you've made some pretty good posts since joining up. I may be blind, but I don't see your introduction post in the New Geeks section. Would you mind terribly going over there and making an intro post to tell us about yourself? Kind of a tradition around here.

Entertainment / Re: What was the last movie you watched?
« on: September 16, 2010, 04:22:54 PM »
Well, the last movie I watched was “Inception” and I must say that everything went over my head though I’ve read that it one of the greatest hits in terms of the special effects and stuff I do agree that it had great special effects; it’s just that I am not much of a techie person I prefer to watch more simple movies (my son is the techie) with the same old simple story – no complicated themes for me

I've seen "Inception" twice and it actually made a lot more sense the second time around, that's for sure.

New Geeks on the Block / Re: TEch question about networking and backup
« on: September 16, 2010, 10:55:32 AM »
Hi there fellow Geeks, my question is as follows.

Our Office has a simple network setup with 4 machines.
There is no server only a workgroup setup with hubs to share the connections.

I use a usb drive on my machine to write the backup to from the other
machines, using a program called Goodsync. It works ok but i wonder
if i would be better off to connect the drive directly
to the network via an adaptor (Lan to Usb port if it exists?)
maybe would this free up my pc as lately it has been very bogged down
with "csrss.exe" at times using up to 50% of the available ram.................

Am i correct in asuming that if i can change the way that the usb drive
is connected will it free up my pc??

My pc is Vista Home with 4 gig ram, all the other pcs in the workgroup are
xp with latest updates installed.

The reason why your computer is so dang slow is exactly because of that csrss.exe. It's a well known trojan! What you need to do in order to speed up your computer again is to first turn off DEP and reboot the system.

After it comes back up, do a regedit search for "csrss.exe" and delete any entry that you find. It's probably wormed its way well into your registry so there may be more than one entry for it. Delete them all. After you've done that, do a search on your hard drive fir "csrss.exe" and delete that file. After all that reboot, and you'll be golden!
