I totally misread that title. At first I read "rock lovers". Then I realized it was "cock lovers" so naturally I had to click it.

Hackernetwork.com - I think it's time to start a wiki on it. There's a lot of HN material around. Demosteenz has a collection of images on his server that are from that time. I have some sigs and photoshops lying around somewhere from those days. Yes, it was a brutal place indeed! Brutally hilarious I might add. You can imagine the influx of stoobie with a domain name like that. There were baninations every hour, and fun memorable ones every day. I wrote a song about an HN banning one day (and I am a horrible signer). The geekery is essentially HN with less traffic and prettier colors. Let's just say that there were practically no seconds chances at HN. But forget about HN. Speaking of memorable momments - here is my favourite from the geekery: CLIXXORZ

No one said we can't trust it. I said the movie ends without us knowing if the top falls or not, and this is by design. Fruitycandy says it is established that the top continues spinning, thus they had to cut the scene short otherwise the movie would never end. We would be staring at the top forever. Personally, I think a sudden earthquake at the end would have been a good way to end it. That way the top falls, but you don't know if the quake is real or if he just fell asleep in a bumper car ride. OMFGLOL!111

It looks like this one could be very adaptable. The example given is to create the youtube tag, but I suppose you could use it to create anything that requires users to provide a parametter. For instace, you could probably code something to get googlemaps working where the user must enter a street address or a coordinate. I don't think it handles multiple variables however. There's also this option: http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-143580.0.htmlDon't knwo about effects on the shoutbox

Hello Vanessa from London. I don't usually reply to noob threads, but you keep staring at me and I feel guilty.

SPOILER: he spent the whole time trying to find his "real" kids when in the end he got dream kids and was just as happy.
I don't know if the writers intended this to be the message, or if the majority of the audience took this away from the movie but I was really happy when the top didn't stop spinning.
It's not that the top didn't stop spinning. The whole point is that the scene was cut short so you can only guess if it was going to stop or not. (which is why a lot of people hate the ending)

So yeah..... I'm basically having to teach myself math from a textbook with little to no help and the textbooks not all that great.
This is perhaps the most valuable lesson you can be taught. Let me explain: You talk about the groups of 4 and the person that fails still passes thanks to the efforts of others. When I was in university, we had a similar system. The problem with it is that the person that fails has no incentiev to change their behavior since they know you'll pull their weight. As such, one person on my team managed to get a university degree without knowing how to use a computer or type. He was a true dumbass frat boy, and I'm sure he still his today. I thought this was unfair and a bad thing. It was frustrating. Of course, it was less of a hassle to do his work and carry the extra load a soppose to attempt to address the problem and make him accountable, which may lead to you being penalised in the end if he fails too much! It was only until I had many years of experience on the market place that I realised this is how the world works. About 1 in 4 are incompetent individuals, or are high skilled but low will. They get by regradless because of the efforts of others. So really, what you're teacher has set up is a system that reflects reality, except you'll only learn the lesson long after you've completed that class.

I'm suprised Xolik didn't like Inception because that movie was pretty gay. I guess the lesson here is that not all gays like each other.
I actually liked inception because it was an out of the box concept. It reminded me of the first time I saw the matrix. It's good to see a bit more creativity in hollywood. Yes, some aspects of the film are fails. But some credit has to be given for originality (altough there's a lot of holes in the story).

So, I have been toying with the idea of writting a script for quite some time. I have a few ideas in my head and I think I'd like to give this a shot when I have a bit more free time (i.e. - later or never! lol). I have done a bit of research and came across some interesting information I'd like to share. 1 - A script has a very precise and technical format. Screw that up and no one will give a serious look at your script, regardless of content. You can learn about the format here: http://www.screenwriting.info/2 - The good news is that there are a handful of quality software you can buy that will handle the formating for you. Uppon researching software, I found this very interestign website which allows you to write and store your script online, collaborate on a script with other writers, and control who has access to view your work. And it's FREE! I thought this was a fantastic option for collaboration and I knew there's a few geeks here who love to write. So perhaps it's something you can look into. I only tried the demo quickly, but it looks simple and straighforward. http://www.plotbot.com/C - I don't always use numbered list 4 - That last line was stolen from BizB, so I give him credit for it. That is all.

Correction: There are other ways to say the meaning of extra, just like there are in the English language. You could say "additionnel" which is equivalent to "additional", not to "extra". But it pretty much means the same thing. "extra" in english is "extra" in french and that's it (if you want to be extra technical about it).
