Song Search...Again!
« on: May 23, 2006, 10:26:40 PM »

Hey everyone. Again I'm having huge difficulty in identifying a piece of music I've heard. Some of you may remember my troubles a long time ago. Well, now I'm in need of your help again! The short clip is available here, and any information would be appreciated. As you might have guessed, I'm not the only one hunting. On YTMND there's dozens of people off in search of the 'mystery song'. So please, if any of you could point me in the right direction, I'd be in your debt. Thanks!

In the UK, we have a song recognition service called Shazam, which you phone up and play the song into. It's tended to get everything that I've tried right and, looking at their website, they are available in the US. You could look into that...

It kind of reminds me of a Marilyn Manson song. This is going to be especially difficult to figure out given there are no words or anything that is really unique to the song that can be searched for.  :(

It's definitely something I would've heard in the club I frequent.

It reminds me of something Covenant did. I'll check their library and see if I can find it.

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the help! I haven't had much luck so far, unfortunately.

Keep us posted (Well, me... if no one else wants to get posted) if and when someone finds out on any other forums you frequent, Shade. It's got a pretty good beat to it, and I'd like to rip off the artist and download it when I find out the name of the song.

On second thought, it kind of sounds like something Rammstein would have put together. I have searched through all the albums that I have, and there were a few things that were similar in nature. Though I'm not sure if I have all of their songs. I do know I have all of their albums, but there are a bunch of songs out there that are not attached to any albums.

It's finally been found! After over 48 hours of searching, someone's done it!

The Mystery Song.

It's 'Answers', by Vigilante. The search is over. People can breathe again.

I think someone made that song up just to put the mystery to rest. 48 hours seems just like enough time to put out a fake cover up song, if you ask me.

The person who let the world know found proof, citing the band's website as a source. But I guess we'll never know.
