has anyone else realized that there seems to be more and more stupid people every day? i have. they're everywhere. soon, the usa will be over-populated with stupid people. it starts off with stupid questions and answers. then stupid drivers. soon the government will be run by stupid people, which will try to run all of the smart people out just because they can. its a conspiracy i tell u! stop the stupid people before its too late.

I remember reading something similar to your senrio before, in high school. Do you know what happened? The smart people got feed up with all the stupid people/govt/etc... picked up and moved cross a sea and started a new country. I forgot how it ended though

I can guess how it ended. The smart people all died because they were not nearly as smart as thought, and without the idiots they abandoned, there was nothing to contrast them as the smart people anymore. If you take out the idiots, we're all just average.

uv overlooked the stupid people that carry this country: janitors,garbage men, fast food workers (no offence mod-lord), mailmen and the guys who put the lil umbrellas in drinks but dont actually make the drink, and dont forget bush-without them wed have to resort to manuel labor ourselves (thus insiting a heirarchy of smart people working under slightly smarter people until these lower class intelligents revolt causing their masters to pick up and move to another island; the cycles repeats until we'r all gone)

why do use parenthesis? (i hate ela).............

That's fine. The problem is, some of them are apparently pretty well connected, because they keep getting promoted to management positions in most of the companies I've worked for. The stupid ones always seem to be the ones rising to the top, in spite of glaring incompetence and a complete lack of leadership.

Oh well. Shit floats, I guess.

People with Ph.Ds can still not have common sense. There's a difference between book smarts, street smarts, and just plain common sense.

It's the lack of common sense in people that annoys me the most. You'd think that someone would know that eating a Big Mac a day would make you fat, but, some do not.

Speaking of which, I consider myself to be somewhat smart, at least above "average" anyway. I have an education in Nuclear Science, I have worked as a licensed private investigator, and for the past five years as a database programmer/application developer.

I just applied for a position as an armed security guard today. Because I can't find any jobs that will otherwise allow me to pay my bills and my unemployment benefits extension has just about dried up and I still haven't found a job in ANY of the lines of work that I'm qualified for (i.e., engineering, programming, PI work).

I get the feeling that they'll probably hire me, since I have a background in a field that involved carrying a weapon and some education towards that as well (required for licensing in the state I worked in, plus I took some criminology and forensics courses at Quantico to supplement that). So who knows? Perhaps soon I will be standing around, asking "Can I see your ID badge please?" and letting people through a security checkpoint, into a place that in any other economic situation I might be working as an engineer (it's at a local nuclear plant).

Oh the irony.

I think that too. Yet I haven't really been educated in any special field. Then again there is Spanish, but I don't even NEED that. If you're going to come here speaking Spanish I'm simply going to delete it. I'll show those Education Mongers.

Um.. the people in my school got fed up with a stupid rule by the administration, and did things about it (Though I forget what). It was reversed soon after.

Right, not being able to wear foot wear without a strap that goes around the ankle was "illegal" by them.

I don't care about any of the rules they decide to make to protect people from themselves or to protect others; I don't need to be protected from myself, and there's nothing you can do to control half of those people.

I believe that they didn't listen to the rule and complained to the proper people that it didn't do anything, that it was just a false sense of security.

Well, being Canadian, I do have less to worry about, especially with our American Gaurd dog around, but it is very expensive to keep feeding him, ie:"free trade" lumber, beef, wheat, etc. If only the frogs would leave Ottawa, we would be better off, but most of you are probably thinking "Ottaw? Is that some kind of fast food place?"
