Fitness Guru Jack LaLanne Dies at 96

 Pneu-fucking-monia got him.

 "When he turned 43 in 1957, he performed more than 1,000 push-ups in 23 minutes on the "You Asked For It" television show.
 At 60, he swam from Alcatraz Island to Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco -- handcuffed, shackled and towing a boat.
 Ten years later, -70 years old- he performed a similar feat in Long Beach harbor.

 He was a tough old man for sure.

I bet when he was a kid, and he had to walk 12 miles to and from school every day in a snowstorm, it actually WAS uphill.  Both ways.

 He used to beat up the kids in Chuck Norris's grade.

I remember seeing Jack LaLanne on TV when I was a wee tyke. In black and white. We also had one of his rubber band exercise thingies.
