"Don't be silly, Joe.  You're my best friend.  I wouldn't just simply brush your opinion aside.  I'm still marrying Lisa, however, whether you like it or not.  Maybe you don't think I'm making the right decision here, but this woman means the world to me, and I'm not going to not marry her unless there was convincing evidence presented convincing me to not marry her."

Joe sighed, lighting himself another cigarette.  "I can't quite put my finger on it.  She's not right for you."

"Well, I need some concrete evidence if you're going to convince me, Joe."

"I just told you.  She has this wicked ugly birthmark on her forehead that looks like God took a bite out of her as if she were an apple.  She won't let me satisfy my curiosity by touching it, though.  I can't even simply put my finger on it, she's so ridiculously self-conscious about it."  Joe darted his eyes towards George's.  "Besides, what was your dating motto?"

George shifted his eyes downward, unable to meet his friend's gaze.  "No fuglies," he timidly mumbled.

Joe nodded, his rhetorical question answered.  "That's right.  No fuglies, and that birthmark is ugly as fuck.  Ditch that shit if you have any sense of self-pride."

George puffed his chest out in anger, determined to defend the honor of his love.  "It's not as simple as that.  She has a lot more going for her that outweigh the birthmark."

Joe looked at him puzzled.  "Really?  Like what, Romeo?"

"Well..."

Lacerda is a d00d?!?!?!

It's pretty nice, if I ignore how cold it is right now.  The Monongahela River froze over a couple of nights ago, so I've been staying mostly indoors and ignoring the seasonal sights (snow, ice, snow, snow, etc.).

I knew that Lacerda was a moderator, so I don't know why I asked that question.  The fact must have slipped my mind.  Ich war sehr betrunken.

I was a bum for Halloween.  I've shaved off the facial hair and trimmed the hair a bit overall, but still, that's a lot like what I look like.

If there's one thing of the many things that I miss from HN, it has to be the blender prose.  It was a lot of fun, and I'd like to try and get something of the sort going again.  That said, this thread is not for the parts of the story, but for any questions or comments anyone might have.

The rules of blender prose (in case anyone needs to be refreshed):

1.  Try to write something that fits with the story that was presented in the previous post in the thread.
2.  Make it your own style, but fit it in with everything else.
3.  If someone beats you to the punch on a post that progresses the story, kindly delete your post and post another one to eliminate confusion.
4.  Most importantly, have fun.
5.  "[...]"  will denote the point where one person's story ends, and where another person's story is expected to pick up.
6.  This thread is only for discussing the blender prose, and the other is only for contributing to the story to keep things streamlined.

And I have to ask, since when has Lacerda been a moderator?

Not a huge fan of Comcast myself, but they're the only provider in my area, so I have to just deal.
