Dune!?
« on: October 03, 2008, 10:07:14 AM »

Does anyone here still play any Dune version?  I recently got back into Dune 2000, because I had played a Dune game a while back, but I think that version was Emperor: Battle for Dune...

Dune2000 is great.  I still fire it up from time to time.

Was Dune a trailer on Red Alert 2? The one with the giant death worm at the end?

Not a damn thing. Your first message was the first thing I read on the forum, y'see, so using my inability to read dates I figured you started generally around the same time as me. Competition sparked... Well at least to me. I shall remove the 'sig' as you people so lovingly call it, with the forum equivalent to a bowed head, dirt drawing and barely audible sorry.

Now that I have those two God awful negative points, I'm so very dicouraged... I'm just not cut out for the internet.

No offence meant... I'm still winning though.

That's what all the losers say.

So very, very true.

Does anyone else find it ironic that the only person that cares about this competition is the one that started it?  And that the other "competitor" had no role in starting it, and does not really care about this competition?  Besides, if we were to all suck up to everyone else and make ourselves look awesome, it would not be us.  It would be a façade.

I just wanted to know if Dune was what I thought it was...

Who am I kidding... I don't care. Nobody cares about two geeks arguing over something dumb like a signature that pissed a few people off, so why bother trying to make nice? I got rid of the pictures, I changed the words and I made a half assed attempt to apologize. It was something as trivial and insignificant as an inability to use sarcasm without the use of those cute little smiley men...

It was dumb but in the end... Nobody gives a damn.

Use of fancy words, -1.

Sorry.

I just wanted to know if Dune was what I thought it was...

In the sense that we have all gotten over it, yes we do not give a damn.  In the sense that I am pissed off about your sig, I was never pissed off.  In the sense that we did not notice your attempted apologies or your sarcasm, we did notice, but this ordeal is not that important in the greater scheme of things.

I can move on.  You can move on.  Can we all just forget any of this happened and just move on?

Dune does have a giant worm.  It was also my nickname in high school.

The big giant worm sucks when you play the game.  Do you eat people and vehicles?

I can't decide which nickname you might have meant would be more disturbing.

What other "extreme" states are there other than cracked and sagged?

Ya, highschool was a long, long time ago.

Let's skip the diminished flow jokes.
