Entertainment / Interesting Trent Reznor interview
« on: September 25, 2009, 05:36:56 PM »
This is an interview with Trent Reznor about video games. I wonder if he is going to make a game after he puts NIN on the shelf later this year.

Song: Like Callisto To A Star In Heaven
Artist: Trivium
Album: Shogun

I admit, when Trivium first hit the scene, I didn't think of them as much more than a band riding the screamo band wagon. But after their last 2 albums, I have become a full on fan and see them as the up and coming bearers of the heavy metal standard. I'm even supporting them when they hit Seattle in November.

Now I'm on Jello's new band's myspace

song:  Strength Through Shopping
artist:  Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine

It's what happens when you take the Dead Kennedys and replace the musicians with far superior ones.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm gonna get more of this when I can.

Song: Symphony of Destruction
Artist: Megadeth
Album: Countdown to Extinction

One of the few LoG songs that I can listen to. Love the music, hate Randy Blythe's vocals.

Homework Help / Re: Solution needed, any idea's welcome :)
« on: August 27, 2009, 09:44:43 AM »
This thread is made of funny and irony. And a little gall- just think: you go to a random group of strangers and skip introducing yourself or making any kind of relationships, then immediately pose a problem and expect them to give you a highly intelligent and possibly technical recommendation without any kind of harassment, and then you go away satisfied? I don't think you have a very good grasp of human social dynamics, my uber friend.

You're not a moron- your first post makes that evident. Try doing some research and finding your own answers- and if you just want to have some friendly geeky conversations here, make an intro thread and tell us a little about yourself that doesn't immediately put us under the pressure of finding an answer to whatever question it is your boss pays you to find on your own. Either that or offer to pay us to give you an answer- that is how capitalism works, after all.

Edit: also, you defy your title's premise with your responses- you did say "any idea's welcome :)", you did not limit which ideas would be welcome by stating "any good idea's welcome :)" or even "any relevant idea's welcome :)". You haven't really welcomed any of the ideas posed. Jerk. :-P

Aka: rule 3.
Don't talk about Geek Club :P

Flamer's Corner / Re: "Nice guy" alarm clocks. Feh.

Use a mobile phone with customisable alarms. - Its good.
Or use a really dull talk show as radio alarm. Remarkably enough it does get your brains going and wakes you up.

I use a talk show to wake up, but its not dull. BJ Shea likes to yell alot and get really worked up.

Local broadcast ftw!

Homework Help / Re: Computer Programming
« on: August 20, 2009, 01:27:27 PM »
For God's sake, why? Ask any of the people who actually used punch cards to program computers and see if they miss it. You're alive in the middle of the transition of programming from lengthy codes & syntax to English language, so simple even a child can program a computer. I personally can't wait to see what's next.

My sarcasim doesn't come off well in a typed format.
