I recall Fark reported a similar event in India where a kid suddenly began speaking perfect English one day (can't recall if he still spoke his original language though) around a month ago.

Harold and Kumar 2 is going to own hardcore (shouldn't that have been out years ago), but I'm extremely psyched about Iron Man. Iron Man kicks intense amounts of ass. In fact today a friend told me that the trailer was out and I watched it a few times and I wished I had a huge TV to watch it on. Robert Downey seemed like the perfect guy to play an alcoholic asshole war-profiteer (and from his two one liners in the trailer I was able to confirm my suspicions), and  it seemed pretty true to the origin story (though they again updated Vietnam to a contemporary war) from the few minutes of trailer. The use of the Sabbath song rules, even though it doesn't really have a lot to do with the comics (retcon aside). The next 8 months are going to kill me. This is probably the coolest trailer I've seen in a long time, aside from the V for Vendetta one (though the movie didn't come near to the book in the end).

I'm so fucking Zen
Right up in your hostile face
This one's a rip off.

There's a freebie. I really do have haikus somewhere, and I wasn't laughing at you, just V's comment (I didn't think it was quite funny enough for HECTAR status, more of a "SMIRK UND EIN CHORTLE! SMIRK UND EIN CHORTLE!").

I'm sure it's a joke. The more I think about it, the more I think Andy would get an enormous kick out of Youtube people in general.

I've never read the Dark Tower, but I can tell you even if it doesn't tie in, Eyes of the Dragon is definitely a book worth reading.

The Dark Tower is dangerous because if you read it, you'll inevitably end up reading pretty much every other book he's ever written.

Lincoln ate regular meals, Gandhi was often pretty starved as I recall. Plus wasn't Lincoln a boxer/wrestler or something?
