Walks up to the n00b Board, reads it.
Goes home and calls Local Sicilian Pizza joint...orders 12 XLarge, DbblXtra cheese Everything on it Pizzas delivered to The Geekery. Adds additional order for 12 32's assorted sodas.
Calls local 7-11 type place and orders 24 bottles of assorted Snapple stuff also to be delivered to The Geekery. Orders 2 cases beer, one of Sam Adams, one of Coors. Pays Pakastani manager to have one of his cousins deliver her order to The Geekery.
Uses Visa card for all transactions coz her BF's credit balance is decent. Includes good Tip in all orders.
Walks over to the aforementioned The Geekery Board and puts up a sign that reads as follows:

Hi, I'm barb. Enjoy the f00d and drinks. See ya around campus.

After having done this, barb the brainless goes home and spends the next three hours on astalavista.com checking whats available.
She then surfs onto hackernetwork.com and reads their Boards while chowing down health f00d...Doritos and JP-30 aka Diet coke with lime
Checks e mail, deletes 92%, and heads for bed where she reads one of her Dilbert books or whoots over the latest adventures of Buckmeister da Katt in Get Fuzzy.Laughs herself to sleep wondering why e mail ppl keep trying to send her Viagra or seem to be fixated on how big her pocket rocket is.

Life is sweet. Life with a laptop is even sweeter.

Was there life before the Net? Probably not, but it seemed that way back then.Ask anyone who remembers when black and white TV was all you got. My mom does.
