Welcome... The onlyest thing I can say to the Vampire LARP thing is at least you know its pretend.. I have met some strange critters that believe they are actual vampires.

Live in DC here, so I'm not that far away either. I also hike in the general area around Shennandoah and Potomac Rivers. Best of luck to you in your new life at the geekery :)
