What's up, dudes? I should put down a bunch of crap you don't really care about, because it's some kind of "tradition". Being realistic for fun and profit!

So I'm kind of a jack-of-all-trades kind of guy. I'm an English nerd, a gamer, a foodie, and a root beer snob. I dick around with a little bit of art, but mostly I don't have time for it these days. I'm a big indie music lover, and I'm always looking for bitchin' new bands because I tend to get bored fast. Other than that, I'm narcissistic, pedantic, sometimes an asshole, and almost always sarcastic. It's just what I do.

Some traditions stem from practical and even vital rules for living. For instance, shellfish may have been dangerously perishable in the days before refrigeration, causing death by ingestion, perhaps prompting some ancient cultures to impose a ban on lobster. Likewise, in forums past, posting without introduction often caused immediate and painful death by banination, perhaps prompting some ancient geeks to codify this practice in the Holy TOS.
