Book thread, eh? I have enough books to last me 20 years at the very slow rate I'm reading them and my boyfriend still insists on taking me to book stores to "browse" because he knows I can't help myself. Here are a few of the books I am blundering through all among one another every few days or weeks:
1. Brecht on Theatre: Bertolt Brecht, translated by some guy
2. The Misanthrope/Tartuffe, the Imposter: Moliere, translated by some other guy
3. In Search of the World's Worst Writers: Nick Page
4. Assault on Society: Satirical Literature to Film: Donald W. McCaffrey
5. Lurker in the Lobby: A guide to the cinema of H.P. Lovecraft: Andrew Miligore, John Stryik, and Abdul Al*unreadable*
6. Opera and the Morbidity of Music: Joseph Kerman
7. Shadows over Baker Street: Various
8. Not Since Carrie: Fifty Years of Broadway Flops: Ken Mandelbaum
(Actually I read this one like some people read Atlas Shrugged. That is to say I claim I read it every year when really I just skim it every now and again. Speaking of...)
9. Atlas Shrugged: Alisa Zinovyevna Rosenbaum (Made it through the first movie. I've earned it.)
10. Good Scripts, Bad Scripts: Thomas Pope (Mostly finished this one.)
11. Banned Plays: Censorship Histories of 125 Stage Dramas: Dawn B. Sova (This one too.)
