Anarchy / Re: Stupid Fucking Customers Mega-Thread
« on: January 23, 2007, 01:47:27 AM »
Oh wow, working at McDonald's; now that brings back memories. Working register/drive-thru, I had to deal with both customers AND the grill workers. Most memorable are the guy that ended up waiting somewhere around an hour or two because he ordered a 5-piece chicken strip meal and the guy on grill made 3 (he didn't even accept the free pies... *sadness* ), the 3-person, 9 Happy Meal order (they left the boxes stacked on the table... and not very well), and one regarding the wonders of the value menu.

Basically, a guy asked how much a hamburger is but ordered a cheeseburger w/out cheese. When he found out that the computer somehow charges more for such frivolities, he got quite upset. The result was a 20 minute discussion between him and the manager.

Aye, good times.

Fact: Penguins are planning to steal everyone's coolio points.

Sub-fact: They've already started. Stay alert.

Fact: Penguins already have more coolio points than anybody else, they just want to corner the market.

Fact 12: In Soviet Russia, penguins make up the facts.

Don't forget, in Soviet Russia, the facts also make you.

Which leads to fact 13: In Soviet Russia, penguins make you.

fact # (n+2) There are no black and white penguins, humans just lack the ability to discern their actual color.

fact # (n+3) Penguins can see a human's true colors and it makes them laugh (at us... not with us)

Lord of the flies sucked!  There was no polar bear, no Others, no black cloud, etc.  Need I say more?

Polar bears? I'm reminded of the His Dark Materials trilogy.... and Animal Planet.  As for the former, good books, there. Others are replaced by the church and black cloud... um, well, one of the main characters is from Oxford. Plus some gypsies, daemons, wars within wars, etc.

it's about time, I've grown tired of these slow and tiresome nights.  Bring on the pain! ...OW... my finger. I hit that key too hard.

Anarchy / Bad Teachers
« on: January 17, 2007, 04:32:55 PM »
I have (almost) finished my second day of classes of my second semester and so far, I generally like my teachers/teaching assistants/professors, but there is one that I feel may turn out to be a very... unfavorite professor. He has a lot of bad reviews from other students and I've sit in one of his lectures, but I guess there's always a chance that he won't be that bad.

The point of the matter, though, is that I'm willing to bet there has to be somebody that is worse and,t herefore, I have to ask: does anybody have a  story about a horrible teacher/teaching assistant/professor?

if you mean Krofft, then I doubt I'd have been able to sleep, no matter how easy the class had been. If I did sleep, it would have been full of odd dreams and nightmares.

A rather boring (I probably slept through more then 3/4 of the total class time) algebra teacher with the same hair style she had when she taught my mother. Unless I'm mistaken, her name was/is Mrs. Craft.

Good <time of day> one and all.  While searching for a forum to call my own, I stumbled upon the Geek Forum.  Here's hoping this is the forum for me, aye.

For the record, the name is Zach, I reside in the depths of Virginia, and I am a freshman in the college of engineering at Virginia Tech.  Fell free to ask me any questions, if you are so inclined.
