Depends on my mood.  Sometimes I pick a few albums and shuffle them, other times it is a single band that gets shuffled.  Most of the time it is internet radio or using a program on my computer create play lists from a few songs.

I love Star Wars, but I wish death upon the special editions.  It really pisses me off when they show Anakin from Eps 1-3 in the end of Jedi.

I work 40 hours a week.  Sometimes they will have overtime available and I will work it if I have the time.

I don't really read the news in print.  I will if I am at a coffee shop and they have a paper on a table, but don't have a subscription anymore.  Used to have one and found that I didn't use it as I would just read the news on my computer.

I think this would be different if I used public transport to get to work instead of driving.

Day the declaration of independence was adopted, although it wasn't fully signed until August 2nd.  I believe that they didn't actually create the handwritten version that's on display until after July 4th.

Basically this day our forefathers said "Fuck This!"

I don't think he should learn to use a computer.  Country would sink even further once he discovered the free porn.

Just bought the creator yesterday.  Only had time to build one creature so far (gif link below).  Hoping to create more today.  Sad it doesn't run on my Macbook, oh well always screen sharing i guess.

Why would you attempt to grab somebodies foot while they go by at 50 MPH.  That's just . . .  oh wait it was in the south.

Feel bad for the people on the ride cause I'm sure they saw it happening.

It be a lot easier to find this out for you if I didn't find three posts on Google regarding this first.  How many places did you put this on exactly?

Your comment on Kurzweil's theory made me think of the article below.  Looks like they are already looking into uploading a rats brain.  Obviously that's a less complex mind than a human's, but it's a nice first step.

Anarchy / Re: D&D ?
« on: June 21, 2008, 12:00:02 PM »
D&D can be a lot of fun.  I had never played before until I found out my friend Frank plays.  He showed me how to play while some people were over and we just went through having some.  It can be very enjoyable.

As for not wanting to be the GF that is always hanging around, you still don't have to be.  If he wants you to play D&D that's cool.  I think it's important to try out the things that he is into, and it's important that his friends know you.  You can play D&D with them and still give them their time when they are doing something else, or if he asks for it.

I'm not an organ donor, but I don't really have any good reason not to be.  While I'm not religious I am spiritual and just feel that all of me should be put in the ground when I'm gone.  I doubt that my organs would be much use by the time I am through with them.  Also I plan on having a green funeral so I'd rather have all parts of me involved in it.  I know I won't really care when I'm dead, but I guess it's more of a I want this for myself while I have a choice in the matter.

With that said I would change my mind if I got something like A.L.S. or Parkinsons.  Then I believe my body could be used for something within science to go ahead and poke around to figure something out.

Anarchy / Re: Smoking
« on: June 20, 2008, 03:59:38 PM »
Kind of related story here: Back when I was a bench tech working at The Pit, you could always tell what computers belonged to a family of heavy smokers. The cases were more yellow than the usual fading and if you ever opened one up, the stench of nicotene would probably knock you out cold. I hated working on those things. One time I decided to give one of these machines an entire scrub down. Took it apart, blasted all the internal bits with a healthy dose of compressed air and scrubbed the living hell out of the chassis. The yellow slowly went away and a glorious Compaq Beige color was restored. Even the CD-ROM and floppy were cleaned up of just layers of built up residule. It was gross.

The owners didn't even notice.  :|

That is pretty gross.  The sad part is in a house of smokers the electronics suffer the most.  Nothing good can come from smoking inside with your electronics.

edit:  That goes double for children.

And you would be right I have not been to a NASCAR event.

Anarchy / Re: Smoking

That's the thing; people who DO smoke forget that their sense of smell is dulled in addition to being used to the funk anyway. So they don't realize (or really believe) how bad they actually stink- especially to someone who doesn't have a deteriorated olfactory system.

It's funny when I was a smoker I wanted a cigarette every time I walked past a smoke break area.  Now if I have to walk through that area I hold my breath because the smell makes me want to vomit.

OMG all those people I called communists for not acting properly during the national anthem, and now I realize I am that communist.

Seriously I am surprised they have a code of conduct.  While that code states what you should do, I do not believe that a majority of people feel that way.  Look at anywhere you go when the anthem is playing and most do not follow this fully.  Customs can change I guess.

Had a customer today:

Me:  Go ahead and login on the right hand side of your screen.
Customer:  It says customer number or login name, which one do I use?
Me:  Either one will work.
Customer:  Ok I did that, now I enter my password?
Me:  Yes passwords are required to login.
Customer:  Alright I have all that information, now what.
Me:  You should be able to login.
Customer:  Do I have to click the button on secure login.
Me(thinking):  No it's a trap.
Me:  Yes please click that button.

Dude smoking is hard as hell to stop.  I was like you smoking a few a day when i was 17 then it turned into a pack a day after a year.  After that I attempted on seven different occasions to quit.  This attempt has lasted the longest so far at 1.5 months.  I feel like I lost a part of my soul, but know that it is better for me in the long run.  Now I really want a cig, damnit.

Don't know about the 250k thing you stated.  Smoking is bad for you even a little.  You can find stats on it that your lungs begin to heal 8 hours after a cigarette.  Takes two months for your lungs to gain back their full capacity for holding air.  Supposedly quitting before you are 25 is supposed to allow your lungs to heal enough to that of a non smoker for later in life.  Oh and also I hear smoking and drinking at the same time is the worst to you.  Supposedly you are absorbing more of the cancer causing substances while drinking.  Sucks cause that's when a cig is the best.

On a side note, I got a lung infection after smoking.  Doctor correlated it to my stopping smoking and my immune system dropping from the withdrawls.  I asked him point blank if I had kept smoking if I wouldn't have this lung infection now and I would be healthier.  He smiled said, "I wouldn't put smoking into that light."  Sounded like he was basically saying yes from his tone and body language.  Kinda humorous to me although I'm still happy I quit.

He's only articulate when he's reading something that was prepared for him.

Exactly what I meant by having something ready.  I'm sure he's already had meetings memorizing exactly what to say to those questions.

@ ivan:

I don't know what I gathered from the video is that they aren't attempting to market to the conservatives they can already count on, but the more moderate conservatives/swing votes.  People that aren't dead set on voting Republican this year.  Although good point about spreading doubt in the liberal camp. Although it may have caused more doubt in liberals if it didn't use so many shots from Fox News.

@ BizB:

I feel that him leaving a church is a pretty strong statement, but under the terms I can see why it would be for the church more than him.  I to am interested in seeing what he has to say about what he believes regarding the preachings.  Definitely be interesting to hear what he has to say.  Although with how well spoken he is most of the time I bet he has something already planned for that question.

No our theater doesn't sport a director's hall, but now that I have read up on that I wish it did.
