Entertainment / Re: Any recommendation for TV series to follow?

I apologize for cutting into the middle of nowhere and being unable to follow this within-thread conversation, but I'm here to answer the question asked in the first post.

I've been enjoying the hell out of Californication, but then I really like sarcasm and female nudity.

Californication! With David Duchovny? I'm borderline in love with him...despite both his age and the fact that I'm a lesbian. I've seen clips and such on YouTube, but I don't own Showtime on my television set. But if I did? I'd watch it. I'd watch it all the time.

My current [still-running] television obsession is Nip/Tuck. Apparently the sixth [sixth, right?] season is going to start playing on FX in early January. It's a great program, for sure. It's not just another doctor show. First of all, it's about plastic surgeons. Second, it's somewhat eerie a lot of the time...has a spooky feel to it, in my opinion.

If you have access to a really great video rental store that has just about everything in stock? I highly suggest that you rent a few seasons of The X-Files...just because it's that great.

The Office is great, too...just thought I'd add that.

I really enjoyed Ghostbusters II...not at all to say that it's better than the first, but it was better than most sequels. Also, I found the sequel to Clerks to be extremely hilarious, but perhaps that's just me. I think it should have been made in black and white as the first one was, though. I like both of Scream's next films; the second and the third. I thought that it was an awesome trilogy with a bad ending. But, hey. I guess some people enjoy happiness in movies...not sure why. Another great trilogy? Back to the Future.

The worst sequel to anything is The X-Files: I Want to Believe. So what if it wasn't a direct sequel from The X-Files: Fight the Future. It was to the series. And being as big of an x phile as I am? To say that I hate it is saying a lot.

Greetings;

[Yoda speak]Marla, I am.[/Yoda speak] I connected to the Internet this morning with a definite purpose in my mind…to join a new community to post in. Why? Because I can honestly say that I have no where else. So, some brief searching was done and somehow I ended up here. With little thought and no careful consideration, I joined.  Which, of course, brings me to where I am now…introducing myself to another cyber world.

I am a seventeen-year-old future novelist who suffers from frequent writers’ block, but refuses to give up her dream of becoming a writer. Obsessed with The X-Files? You bet. When it comes to x fanfiction I read and I write. I’m very much into that sort of thing. Currently, I am out of school due to my own reasons, but I am considering returning before it’s ‘too late’. I’m a nerd for science fiction;…from Star Wars to Mork & Mindy. Sometimes I dress up in my mother’s old work suits and pretend that I’m Dana Scully. But that? That was more than you ever needed to know.

I look forward to typing with everyone and I wish each of you a rockin’ day.

Marla
