We got the autopsy results finally. Seems he knocked a blood clot loose and into his heart.

Thank you all for your sympathies. Ron's passing is a shock to us all.

Ron and I hadn't talked since about April this year. He's been living in Florida with his children and his girlfriend, Brandy. He was going to school for something...I'm not sure what. We've been keeping in touch since our mutual split in 2003. He always told me how happy he was with everything in his life. He loved his kids dearly and he was always in love with life. He spoke often with my father often as they had mutual business interests so he was the first to hear.

As far as what the cause was there are not many options. He wasn't a drinker, smoker, nor did he do drugs. He was not the healthiest person however...he did love his food and had no desire for doctors. He was a stresser and had a family history of early death. His mother died at 52, a year after a quintuple bypass. So he had the history. I can say that he fought with a terrible cough for a long time. He had it when I met him while he was still in the Air Force in 1993. We all tried to get him to seek medical attention but he never would...stubborn was his middle name.

So far all I know is that he finally did seek that attention Friday morning. He went to see a doctor about it and was given some medicine. I'm not sure what kind yet. He was dead by Saturday morning.

We can only hope he died a peaceful death. I know that I will miss him. I have his number on my cell phone on speed dial. I can't bring myself to delete it.

Thanks again everyone!

Are the re-writers supplied with the articles, or is it up to them to find the articles?

I supply all the links and sources. Some are from news agencies and some are from press releases.

So, the job is to take a wire article and re-write it so that it appears to be original and you're paying $10 per article?  Who finds the articles?

Pretty much. Boring...I know.  :w:

You could always outsource to India.  They are native English speakers.  The current exchange rate is around 39 Rupees for 1 dollar.

I could always go Engrish...

"I need that the raw materials are written people my for some person."

Sorry, time poor and fully employed already.  So it sounds like the employment front is going well for you.  Good luck with finding the writers.  Check the local junior colleges, budding young writers should jump at this.

Work's been too good to me lately. I've got more work than I know what to do with. I am trying all other angles but I'm in need of someone ASAP. At least for the time being. This was thrown at me last week and I had no time to prepare. It's hard finding good writers on such a short notice. However, I will prevail, I always do somehow. ;-)

I need help people!

I was recently asked to resume the editor's position at the company/website I work for. We've not done custom news for a while now and my boss wants to get back into the news business. The site is redOrbit.com. We specialize in space and science mostly but our news runs the gamut of topics. Our main topics are space, science, technology and health. My boss is hoping for 40+ original articles a day. This means either I learn to work 30 hours a day or I hire some writers. We're willing to pay $10 per article (all rewrites of Reuters, AP, etc) to anyone who can work daily Mon-Fri, mostly during the morning hours. We do have need of some evening writers but that's less of a need than morning work.

If you're interested please send me a message here.

TIA!!!

May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts.  May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $100 bills.  May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!  May your clothes smell of success and may happiness slap you across the face. May your tears be that of joy and may the problems you once had forget your home address!  In simpler words............

May 2008 be the best year of your life!!!

I hear ya, but what does that have to do with Christmas, lol? It's like that every day at the one here. I don't even go there anymore until after 0230 (its open 24/7). That early in the AM; the shelves are all freshly stocked, there are very few customers (if any) to pile up in your way, and you get to see a shift of their staff actually working. You may have to weave around a few pallets of goods, or get out of the floor buffer's way, but it's worth it. What normally would've have taken two hours and a LOT of irritation takes about 30-45 minutes and the cashier is usually waiting on me:-D

LOL...Walmart. I remember that place. At least they have real peanut butter there.
