It was raining. I was walking down a paved road and encountered a hill. The hill kept getting steeper and steeper until I was finally on all fours, just trying to keep from sliding backward. Eventually it was almost vertical and I could make no progress at all without sliding all the way down.
Thanks, brain. I thought one's subconscious was supposed to be subtle? 161

As a Fuck-You-I-Won't-Do-What-You-Tell-Me type, and a rabble rouser even while I was in high school, I'd have organized a student boycott of football games just on principle, and I would have kept it up until they stopped this foolishness.
And I never once tried going to a HS football game with alcohol on me or ingested. But I object to this kind of invasion of privacy, particularly if innocent. EDIT: Also, what Zorg said. Too many false positives, and this would do absolutely zero to curb or reduce teen drinking. 166

I actively avoided watching Firefly until late 2007. Does that count?

I blazed through it quite rapidly. Didn't hurt that I stayed home from work sick today and spent most of the day either napping or reading this. I finished it late this afternoon. I am considering it one of the best time travel novels I've ever read. So.... it put me in the mood to re-read The Door Into Summer by Robert A. Heinlein, which I haven't read in a very long time. 172
