It was raining.  I was walking down a paved road and encountered a hill.  The hill kept getting steeper and steeper until I was finally on all fours, just trying to keep from sliding backward.  Eventually it was almost vertical and I could make no progress at all without sliding all the way down.

Thanks, brain.  I thought one's subconscious was supposed to be subtle?

As a Fuck-You-I-Won't-Do-What-You-Tell-Me type, and a rabble rouser even while I was in high school, I'd have organized a student boycott of football games just on principle, and I would have kept it up until they stopped this foolishness.

And I never once tried going to a HS football game with alcohol on me or ingested.  But I object to this kind of invasion of privacy, particularly if innocent.

EDIT: Also, what Zorg said.  Too many false positives, and this would do absolutely zero to curb or reduce teen drinking.

Now I'm on The Eyes Of The Dragon by Stephen King, which I haven't read in a long time, and reading 11-22-63 made me want to read about the JFK assassination again, so I've started Case Closed by Gerald Posner.

I actively avoided watching Firefly until late 2007.  Does that count?

29. 11-22-63 by Stephen King

11-22-63 was surprisingly good.  I blazed through it quite rapidly.  Didn't hurt that I stayed home from work sick today and spent most of the day either napping or reading this.  I finished it late this afternoon.  I am considering it one of the best time travel novels I've ever read.

So.... it put me in the mood to re-read The Door Into Summer by Robert A. Heinlein, which I haven't read in a very long time.

Short people
The people that help short people reach high places
The people that put things in high places so as to make short people feel useless

Some chucklehead at work put my mailbox on the top row.  I practically need to stand on a chair to see if I have anything in it.   :x
