Anarchy / What are your thoughts on the beautiful game of poker
« on: March 21, 2005, 10:36:20 AM »
I enjoy playing and do so with my family at gatherings.  I actually have a poker table at home but haven't had much chance to actually play poker on it lately.  I should setup another poker night...

When I do play I usually do fairly well.  Breaking even is a bad night for me.

Should I even bother asking who this Jimmy person is?

If you really want to know all you need is to wield the power of Google

The other guy was in "The Lost Boys" and got killed by Corey Feldman and Corey Haim.

Oh the humanity.

But that was BEFORE Bill and Ted. I wanna know what happened AFTER.

Last time I talked to Alex he was directing comedy shorts for Jimmy Kimmel Live

That's HN without the mini brains.

There's mini brains here too!

Hey Socrates.  I thought you were here already.

The name wasn't registered so I guess not. Did the forum have any previous incarnations?

I know what you mean ivan.  You can get everything on the internet these days.

Anarchy / Stupid FedEx
« on: March 14, 2005, 04:43:21 PM »
I know that with FedEx you can sign something saying 'leave it (back porch, neighbor, right here, etc)' and then even if the package requires a signature they'll just leave it.  That's worked for me pretty well.  With UPS I have to leave a note on the door saying that the neighbors, who are retired and always home, will sign for it.  If I try changing the delivery address with UPS to my work they always end up just trying to deliver it to the house again.

You know I may be in the wrong place.

I got here from cat's thread over at HN about how she uploaded some games now that DD is dead.

What a way to start off.

I always have had nothing but problems with UPS and always good experiences with FedEx.  Hey at least you got your case right?
