Thank you. I am kinda proud of it; as this is about the ...fourth or fifth time I've posted it, lol. Of course; the earlier pics were different stages of construction, etc, but still...  nearly everyone here has seen it. I think I've pretty much milked this one for all the self-esteem it can get for me. :-D

  I rented, too, all my life until I got this place about 6 or 7 years ago. While renting, though, I always knew I'd own a place someday; so I continued to purchase studio equipment when I could. By the time we moved in here; I had nearly everything a full, two-room, music recording should have. Hehe... then I had to build around everything. Talk about a pain in the ass. Especially when it came time for sanding the sheetrock joints...

A bit awkward at first but with a good filtered shop vac there is very little dust floating around.  I usually only sand the final coat.  The in between coats I just take a taping or joint knife and cut down the ridges/bumps/etc..

I had to buy one, or the company did, several years ago for a project where we had to leave a wall out to get an MRI into the room.  Then finish the opening in the wall after it was brought in.  Worked pretty well.

  That IS nice. That woulda been the ticket. I usually have a lot of dust; cos I pretty much suck at mudding. I suppose I could do it nicer, but I just dont take the time. I know anything not a void I can sand down, lol. I have a mud rasp that I use for any ridges, etc; or just knock/cut em off with whatever. A lot of the sanding is because I didn't do a decent job applying the mud to start with. Eh well.
  I killed my ShopVac® some time ago. Replaced it with a RIGID® Blower/Wet-Dry Vac. Now that thing sucks so hard my neighbor comes over and thanks me. And I haven't seen the first bit of dust come out the exhaust(blower); even when I'm vacuuming up piles of dust.
  So I can imagine hooking that vacuum sander to it! :-D
