My son turned pi today
« on: December 15, 2009, 11:50:38 PM »

We just celebrated Ian's pi-th birthday today.  I'm such a proud father.  I know it's irrational but I don't care.

I'm just reliving my childhood vicariously through him.  My parents weren't geeks so I never got to celebrate pi or e.

Congrats!
And Dear Lizard Queen I feel oldish. Seems like it was only yesterday that I was replying to my happy birthday thread on the HN for my 18th.

We celebrated Ian's e-th birthday too.  Sadly we missed his golden ratio birthday but then again we're not Italian.

Aww. I wish my mom had been geeky enough to celebrate my pi-th and e-th birthdays (and my golden ratio birthday- even though we aren't Italian).

wow, all I know of pi is 3.14 but I guess when talking years it doesn't really matter that much. I wish my parents celebrated my pi-th birthday, but they aren't geeks like me :(
