Title: The Geekery's Biggest Loser
Post by: Vespertine on April 04, 2010, 12:16:44 AM
Novice's idea has grown on me.  I'm starting a Biggest Loser thread.  If there's enough interest (cough, cough, Xolly and Novice), I'll edit this post with rules.  While I do think weight is a somewhat arbitrary measurement, I'm thinking each person's goal should be a specific amount of weight in a specific period of time.

As I said, with enough interest I'll come back and post the thread's "rules".  So, who's in?

I wish we had done this in January.  I only have a couple of pounds left to lose until I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight.  I hope you guys do it though and have lots of luck!

I'm curious.  Why did it seem like a good idea for you to come in this thread and be a shit about weight?

I feel comfortable in assuming that I speak for more than just myself when I say, "Shut the fuck up."

Is this only based on weight?
I dropped about 20 lbs and have started putting good weight back on.

Like I said, weight is kind of arbitrary.  I'm thinking of setting a dual goal for myself: 20 pounds in 60 days OR 2 inches from every measurement.  I don't know if the 20 pounds is realistic because of the way I'm muscled, so I think I need a secondary goal.  If i hit either of them I'll be happy.

I can stand to lose it any which way so no measuring the change shouldn't be too big a factor in my case. I can put and keep muscle easier than some but that isn't really my goal.

I'm in. Gimme about a day to come up with some reasonable goal.
