How very elusive of you.
I'm very much like a fox, my darling. You remind me of the interconnectedness of Chopin to the metal signatures of the eighties. Complex, interwoven, but with such a pure and honest background. Tell me, what are you plans for this evening? Ivan, I would have recommended it to you had I any idea that you held anything but loathing for the pre-revolutionary french. You simply must see a performance of Bernstein's opera of the piece.

I missed the train, but this is for posterity. Some things about Luci. - Luci is older than
godivan. - That is rather old.
- Luci may be the only geekery member who has been in Prison.
- Luci calls himself a lifelong career jazz, pop/rock, and classical musician, which is usually translated as "lazy and unemployed bastard
- Luci came here from HN, the reasons for which he joined said site are unclear to him.
- Luci is under the impression that this is some kind of art forum, or possibly an espionage collective.
- Luci has been fired at least twice in his life from both Capital and Atlantic records. He still does work for them.
- Luci likes a bit of Shampoo in the mornings.
- Finally, Luci believes that Peter O'Toole is the greatest man to have ever breathed.
I enjoy welcoming new members, when I am here. I do not, however, enjoy doing so in a sensible manner.

I was actually referring to the painter. The scientist was English, and post-euclidean, therefor of little relevence to my life. As for myself, I prefer the Gogolian diet, as it includes more grains and simple carbohydrates with a good balance of red meat.
Ivan, I feel Candide is overrated - I much prefer Peter Seller's views on the monarchy.

If by scary, you mean erudite. He's quite the computer wizard as well - look at that machine behind him. Thoroughly modern - looks just like mine.

Welcome. What are your thoughts on the more esoteric works of Francis Bacon? Do you prefer a Freudian diet or a Gogolian diet?

Yes, he spent less than 18 months incarcerated for the murder and snack combined, and now he's a mid level celebrity - that's why it's always fascinated me.
Also, the stranglers song about it.
Have to give the japanese some regards, since killing and eating someone is still more impressive in terms of life work than whatever Paris Hilton has managed to do.

Good to see you, LS!
All is well?
Exquisite. I've spent the better part of the year down at the palm springs place, doing just about zero work. Went to Ghana for two weeks with an old drummer, came back, and I found someone here in Oregon who wanted to pay me to sit around a university for a term and write songs "at my pleasure" for their jazz studies program. So, I'm in the life of Riley until I pack up for Seattle again when the rain is gone. Although, the rain is here as well. The only issue I'm having is a proclivity to unintentionally steal Billy Corgan riffs on a peice that I'm working on right now. I'm much too old to responsibly know who he is, much less be influenced by his very un-jazzy music. Anyway. Yourself?

Reuters, Billboard, Sky, and mostly NPR.
I am also addicted to the BBC and RTE, but there isn't always alot of your actual news content there compared to reuters.

PB has a good point, and I've decided to reconsider - I am indeed changing my answer to myself.
There are alot of things I miss in this society - unfiltered cigarettes, kids who know how to be quiet, cars that won't dent if you hit a plastic cone on the street, and a little bit of well placed and non warholesque-newschool-myspace narcissism. People don't take enough PRIDE in their ethics anymore. And they don't get offa my lawn. It's a disgrace.

That's what I've heard.
I think we're all forgetting a tidbit here though,
He's GECKO, not GIECO. So, since he is simply suffering a continual case of mistaken identity, it's entirely plausible that he could be a cockney tom who likes millwall far more than they deserve as a club, and lives a horrid life of identity crisis and self doubt.

Interesting choices so far, Mr. Krummins - why don't you head on over to our new guy thread and post an intro? Your About page on your website leaves me with some questions about you. In particular, I'm curious what you know about canned meat smuggling, but we'll talk about that later. See you OVER THERE?

Before I was in the USA, I often did my own but I think I'll have to say that the lions share of it I farm out to my CPA.

I also hate classical. Particularly Boccherini and Carl Phillip Emmanuel Bach. However, I adore baroque, and the overlap is significant, thus it becomes largely an issue of semantics, and mostly my hatred of Boccherini.
Anyway, I consider Bach (Johann Sebastien) not only to be one of the finest composers of our time, and the greatest counterpuntalist, but also a god among mortals and a pinnacle of human achievement - it's been all downhill since he put the final stroke on the Brandenburg concertos, in music. Incdentally, the Brandenburg concertos, some of the most austere and eloquent thoughts ever recorded into composition, were a toss off thesis if you will presented as a resume to a musical conservatory that he only half heartedly wanted a position at, and ended up not receiving - the complexity of the peice played a part in this.
I would have voted for him three times.
Also, I am glad noone has yet voted for Haydn - what a prick.
