Hi there everyone! *waves* I had bookmarked this site and forgotten about it... and I just found it now and decided to sign up. Looks like its going to be fun.

And now, because I'm so vain, you all get to hear a little about me.

I'm 14, female, living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Like most teenagers *shudder* I like music and movies, although my taste is different from most people my age. I mosltly listen to David Bowie, Queen, Elton John, etc. I play the guitar as well as that awful recorder they make you learn in grade two.  (Anyways, my music teacher was having an affair with my english teacher, which explains why I never learned more than "Mary Had A Little". I never really got to the Lamb part.)

I like reading and my most recent reads have been: Side Effects by Woody Allen, The Importance Of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde and Hedda Gabler by Henrik Ibsen, as well as the Hobbit. I also like manga and comics, far too many to name here and be out by lunchtime.

Gaming is extremely important to me, and I'm a huge Nintendo fan. Although I do prefer Nintendo games, I'm not close-minded to other systems and PC gaming. :D

Hmm...thats about it... Thanks for enduring this post.

Hi! Old 8 and 16-bit retro Nintendo goodness or the new fangled system? Or both?  :)

Well I have a N64 and a Gamecube and a GBASP, so I can play some re-releases of old games.

Until I get my own NES, its off to my cousins house everytime I want to play... it isn't so bad though, because he lives down the street. XD

What about you?

Francophone?

Hello and welcome. I hate Montreal. I hate how the people drive )Or can't drive to be more precise). But I remember walking into Steeve's music store and droll all over their guitars. So if you happen to go in and try out a guitar and find your palms filled with saliva, that was me.

I've got mostly only retro systems. I have my NES, but I usually don't play it anymore. I've got all my NES games running off my Dreamcast now for easier access. My favourite older systems are the Neo Geo and TurboGrafix-16.  :)

I read Without Feathers by Woody.  Actually pretty humorous.  The Ibsen is what I cringe to.  The Importance of Being Earnest was excellent.

Welcome, literate 14 year old chick, your kind are in desperate need.

Thanks everyone. I feel so welcomed! :D

The Isben play was good, but she shouldn't have killed herself in the end...I think that maybe someone else should have killed her. (?)

TheJudge, french isn't my first language, but I do speak french. I only learned it as a second (well, third) language at school, but I'm fluent. I also speak Italian, there's actually a lot of people with Italian grandparents and parents in my school.

Yes, its true that nobody can drive in Montreal. Not just Montreal, though, its all over Quebec! Ah, our fine driving schools... Thats probably the worst aspect of the city and/or province. That, and the slow pedestrians. Come to think of it, this probably doesn't help the driving accident rate much. Hmm... I love Steve's, but I couldn't ever afford a new guitar there  partly because I'm always buying videogames and books and the like and partly because I'm always distracted by the camera shops around it. What kind of guitar do you have?

xolik...can I have your NES?

I got all nostalgic for 8-bit goodness, and tried using my old NES after having it sit on the shelf for so long. Now it doesn't power on. I think the supply is hosed again. Thoses power supplies are so cheaply made. I remember replacing it twice in the past. Oh well. Maybe I'll covert it into a computer system.

Greetings Chalk, to you and all those who hail from our great land. I hope you enjoy your stay here.

Know someone with a mint-condition, still in the box, bonefide, Grade A SNES Chrono Trigger cartridge?

If prices haven't decreased on Chrono Trigger, Dark, you're going to spend an arm and a leg to get it... Last summer I was looking for a copy, and couldn't find anything cheaper then 80-90$

This says it all.. Sorted by price, people are asking over 100 for the game, including the box.

I've been good.. Moved to Boston a few months back, been trying to get my life settled.. And now I have the brilliant idea of moving to Florida by the time I'm 21.. This isn't going to end well.  :D
