Nothing new, but he won't be able to ammend the constitution just yet.

It won't happen anytime soon. Bush got what he wanted anyways by at least being able to tell the more extreme members of the party, "Hey, guys, I tried, but it didn't get past congress." He knew it wouldn't wash, and did it anyways just to appease the far right crowd. At least, that's my take on it.

That said and even without a screaming nancy Brother I still approve Gay Marriage. I'm a little upset it's going to be the vehicle Bush rides back to the whitehouse, hopefully not but maybe.

If THAT is the turning point for Bush and people re-elect him because of his position on that paticular issue, then you deserve and idiot like him for president.

see, karma only applies to those with souls.... so polititians (mind not the spelling, i just woke up) would be uneffected.  at least i think that's the case.  On a side note, the house doesn't collest SSI, so why are they allowed to make descisions about it?

Don't worry, you haven't heard the last of this - as long as there are consenting adults doing things that could possibly be met with some disapproval by the "moral majority", the Bush administration will be there.
