Meh-heh-heh, Reiko gets to be a newb again.

Well, yeah. T3h R31k0 ish here! This means your forum is _officially_ more popular than http://sanity.conforums3.com (mine), for reasons that are so obvious I can't be bothered to tell them to you. M-hm. BTW, ya ever find yourself in need of a remedial Japanese translator, I'm your female.

I am endlessly amused by people who can't figure out BBCode tags.

I've already got a Japanese translator.  And I don't even need him.

Well, for that anyway.

Welcome.  Glad it's official.  I was wondering about that.

What about if I don't need a remedial Japanese translator? Will you still be my female?

How does one discretely brandish? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Do you cook japanese? Do you have a recipe for tonkatsu sauce? What is your favourite okonomiyaki topping? Do you use fingers when eating sushi? Are you one of those trendoids who try to show off at sushi bars by asking for fresh wasabe? Have you ever had the eye of a yellotail tuna? Do you think fugu is worth the risk? Do you put corn on your pizza?

re: discreetly brandishing:
You hold the brandished object behind your back.

re: defeating the purpose:
Probably.

re: cooking:
You kiddin'? I can't cook. I burn the water every time I try to boil it. However, when it does boil, I can make ramen. Does thawing packaged edamame count?

re: tonkatsu sauce:
This is the Internet. Why are you asking little ol' me? (No.)

re: okonomiyaki:
Never had it. Probably something spicy. ^^

re: finger sushi:
Heck no. I may not be able to cook, but I can use chopsticks.

re: fresh wasabe:
Gah! What's the use of that?

re: tuna eyes:
I'm not exactly rich. If given the chance, I'd try it, though.

re: fugu:
Yes. I lead a very boring life, just so you know. :P

re: corn:
Nah, but I do put pineapples on it. I had pine-nut and shrimp pizza once. That was awesome. *drool*

Yes, but we'll need beer.

The correct answer is, "Why in the world would you want to make tonkatsu sause when the stuff in bottles at the market is as good?

re: okonomiyaki:

Do you mean you'd put something spicy on your okonomiyaki? That would be slightly unusual.

re: finger sushi:

It's ok, and even proper to eat sushi with your fingers. Don't dip the rice part in the soy, though -- invert it slightly and dip the fish part. Sushi with a whole bunch of sauce on it might be suitable for chopstick deployment. One way of looking at it: If the sushi chef gives you the sushi with his hands, then you can use your fingers. If he gives you the sushi on a plate, then probably chopsticks are called for. Sashimi, of course, is eaten with chopsticks.

Status.

The one I ate was free. The chef was dismantling a fish head, and asked if I'd like to eat the eye. I did.

And a dangerous one, too.

I don't know what the deal with corn is. I've seen Japanese food shows where they put it on pizza, burgers, anything they can get away with.

Thanks for playing.

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen: the words "adorable", "cute" and "vibrator" in the same sentence.
