I'm looking at finally replacing my last millenium well '98 desktop compy.  And I saw this on Tiger Direct.  Should I?  will eliminate the need for a Tivo plus I can burn DVDs of everything.  Plus I can make this the entire brains mmmm branes mmmmm, of our household.  I've only found positive reviews so far by googling.  What think y'alls?

I'm not impressed with gateway by any stretch.....other then that the configuration is nice

I would never willingly recommend any computer from Gateway, especially a desktop.

Still, that's a good price, and you're probably not going to be using it in the same way as I would.

You could probably find worse deals out there.

Just the dvd burner dvd rom burner 250G HD and using it as a TIVO makes it sound worth it.
