The Civ IV sparked this debate for me...

What is your all time favourite video game series?

Mine would be a toss up between the civilization titles and the Monkey Island games, with the Metroids and Sims not far behind...

I have poured the most hours in the the Warcraft universe as a whole in the last 10 years. Love that game in all its forms, i even have a rig set up to play Warcraft: Orcs and Humans.

Honorable Mentions: Diablo (All forms), Kights of the Old Republic, Sanitarium.

either "Resident Evil" or "Legacy of Kain"

I'm with Social on several of these. Diablo's always been a fan favourite of mine, as is virtually anything else made by Blizzard: Starcraft, Warcraft, etc. S'all good.

There's also Age Of Empires, Heretic/Hexen, Might & Magic and Command & Conquer to name a few more. Those are, essentially, my favourite video game/computer game series'.

I really used to like Sierra's $something_Quest series (Space Quest, Police Quest, Quest for Glory, Leisure Suit Larry...)

I'm a big fan of the Civilizations and their ilk.
I'm really enjoying the GTAs as well. And Diablo r0xx0rz.

I'm a Diablo and Quake girl, myself.

Though if you want to get seriously old-sk00l...the Scott Adams text adventures still r0xx0rz.

I liked the Quake serie (played the Rocket Arena for years). Half Life was pretty good as is/was Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Most impressive to me was Max Payne 2 in the last few years. I am still waiting for a new Zork.....

I too also enjoyed the Sierra's quest series. Roger Wilco was awsome! Didn't really like the larry series that much, suprisingly.

I played the original Civ, railroad tycon and sim city a loooooooooooong time. I still prefer them over the new and improved versions. In fact, I hold in my hand the original RT game on a blue 3.5 floppy. I have the box and manual at home!

I didn't try out Civ4 yet. I think I need to stay away from it. It's evil.

I too remember Hexen/Heretic. In college we used to play the Tie Fighter sim constantly. I remember wishing they would make it multiplayer since your wingmen always sucked. Anyone else remember that one mission where you piss off your commander and so you find yourself stuck in a shitty basic tie fighter after flying all these missions with the advanced ones. Then the commander suddenly goes "All units attack and destroy Alpha 1" so you scroll through your target HUD only to find that you are Alpha 1. Good times.
PLayed a lot of Rise of the Triad also. You could turn into a dog and it had the coolest God mode. You'd float around and fire balls of energy from your hand that would seek out and kill people.

1. EA Football. I have only lost one game out of the thousands I have played.

2. Diablo. The Diablo III rumors have me creaming myself.

3. Sim City. Kinda boring, but addictive nonetheless.
