i have some quicktime movies (.mov) and they are around 8-9 megs.

they are really high quality with a medium-sized picture frame.

anyone know any software or methods i can use to chop these down to a meg or two?

Convert them to pretty much any non-quicktime format.  Quicktime is buggy, big-filesize, and irritating.

besides the fact that i totally disagree, im probably going to convert it to a real player format, so it can stream...

anyone know what software i could do with this? preferably for free, i know real producre probably could but that crap costs more than i do

Lol.  The only multimedia format I hate worse than Quicktime is RealPlayer.  I will never have either of those piles of shit installed on any machine I own ever again... :D
