California ballot
« on: November 07, 2006, 02:03:30 PM »

I think it's absurd. We should vote for Governor, US Senator, US Representative and Mayor. Everything else should be decided by the duly elected officials. The Lt. Governor position should be abolished.

Thus sugar-coating and making palatable, at tax-payers' expense, the very outrage -- land acquisition through eminent domain -- that the proposition purports to remedy.

I voted no on all the bond measures too, but it looks like most of them are passing.  Why must the idiots come out and vote?  Why?

Funny how buzzwords work.  Tax and Spend is something vile and horrible, but Borrow and Spend is quite all right I guess.

Dude, if they're only borrowing the money the people will get it back right. :)

I seriously think the amendments are too complexly written for most people to understand. My parents always have a hard time getting the meaning from them. I can't say I really blame them, seeing how half of the amendments are written like, "Should we not not not not not not not not not not not raise taxes?"

Simple English FTW!
