Don't need to register trial Win XP!

I have a unregistred version of Windows ZP Home edition installed on my computer, the trial kind which must be registred within 30 days to still work...

Today it had 26 days remaining until final day of registration... Then I downloaded some updates for it from the Microsoft site and badabing, it was back at "30 days till you need to register XP!

Kewl huh... anyone else experienced this?

Of course, you can always get XP cracked, but hey, it's cool to see Microsoft screw up nevertheless!!!

My company has a corporate agreement with Microsoft, so all the Microsoft  media I get (Office, Op Sys, Visio, etc) requires absolutely no registration.  Now how kewl is that?

Microsoft will get you eventually. Especially now since you made a big deal about it and made a thread here telling the world how you cheated them.

Actually, come 30 days from now, it will "remember" that it's only "good" for 30 days. Trust me, they don't really make mistakes like that. They might make their programs buggy and unsecure, but when it comes to money, they try to make sure they don't get cheated.

I think you're right... with B. Gates gassillion dollars they must have some kind of way to track little devils like myself...

And anyway, I will reinstall windows in a week (reason given in the virus thread) and register... ain't in for cheap tricks and such... I am a fan of honesty and respect for laws...

I can honestly say with the hand on my heart that the biggest trick I ever pulled was to skip class to be with my girlfriend (now ex!)!!! :shock:

Unless you are running the corporate edition, there is really no way to cheat them out.  Your computer sends the registration out to Microsoft when you connect to the internet, and eventually it will just cut you off.

Now, that is teh kewl.
