I was bored and decided to Google 'image recognition software' and came up with this website about a project called the 'Flo Control Box' which is essentially a cat door that uses a digital camera and image recognition to determine whether the cat (named Flo) has a mouse in her mouth, and prevents her from entering if that's the case.

I got a kick out of it. Linkage

That's all well and good, except that the one of two cats I have that actually hunts, kills things and leaves them in the yard. Which isn't as much fun as it sounds when it's time to mow the lawn.
