A geek from Costa Rica
« on: August 06, 2008, 05:47:22 PM »

I am a geek from Costa Rica, a place where 8000 jobs went to other countries because people do not speak english, for a population of 4 million.

I like coding in VB5, astrophysics, arts, good scifi and all the things people here do not like.
Therefore I am a geek.

I come from Orbiter community (thou shalt not include a link in thy first post) but today I felt too much like I do not fit in this world.  I have been making perhaps the biggest VB5 project I have ever made, and I got preached.
I really felt like a geek, a truth I have been denying for years, so I looked for this site and registered.
I do feel compelled to rebel against a non geeky world by joining forces with other geeks.

Is it me, or people are nuts?

I have great moments of glory in my life, but also some moments of cosmic stupidity.
Today is one of those low moments when I feel stupid.
Excuse my poor english.  It is not my native language.

Your english, tho slightly and understandably sketchy, is better than some that have come before you to whom english is their native tongue.

We have our own moments of cosmic stupidity as well. You'll fit right in, I hope.

I'm sorry, but the number you have dialed is imaginary. Please rotate the phone by 90 degrees and try again.
