  How about saving that five minutes of side effects, doctor's warnings, when to use and when not to use, what to use with and what to avoid using with for the people who actually NEED the fucking drug.

  Also, I'm getting REAL tired of hearing all the medical shit certain people can have "with little or no cost to them". Really? Then the cost is payed by whom? Oh yeh... EVERYFUCKING ONE ELSE who DOESN't need a fucking scooter to haul around their lazy fat ass; or 200 catheters a month. PAY YOUR OWN GODDAMN WAY.

I'm sure it's some sort of federal regulation forcing them to put all that in there.  But yeah, I know all about the side affect but have no idea what the drug does.

The cholesterol-lowering med commercials are hilarious. After 5 minutes of side-effects,  you can catch the fine print saying "xxx is not shown to reduce the risk of heart attack or heart disease". Makes you wonder what the hell it's used for.

The big pharma companies look for things that people will take daily for the rest of their lives.  This generates a nice income stream.  When a med comes off of patent, they tweek the formulation and then sell that so they can reap even more profit out of the cash cows.  All those statins (cholesterol reducing drugs for those not in the know) are pretty much in their third generation now (and the pharms market these even though there is minimal increase in efficacy).

What the fuck, Sears!!???

My air conditioning isn't fixed.  They just made believe it was.  So this time when the pan overflowed, it didn't just drip down from the attic door, it went a different way.  Soaked the ceiling in my bedroom and dripped onto my bed. 

I have a separate a/c unit for downstairs and upstairs.  The downstairs one is like 25 years old and is covered under my home warranty.  I've lived here for 9years and have never had a problem with it.  The upstairs one was just installed 5 years ago and has broken twice already.  Three times if you count the fact that they fixed it two weeks ago but it's not really fixed.


MEANWHILE, it's going to be 100 degrees out today....I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and have a small child who doesn't communicate to me when she's dying of heat stroke while she sleeps.

I could have told you that.  We got fucked over with a refrigerator.  The freezer kept failing and we lost a couple hundred $ worth of food several times each time it failed.  Their repair people were horrible.  We also had problems with the dryer.  It took 9 service calls for them to fix it.  We ended up buying a new refrigerator from Lowes.  No problems.  Fuck you Sears and may you die a horrible death.

Oh great.  And now I bought the shittiest fan in Walmart!  But I can't take it back because my daughter neeeeeeeds it. 

It blows cool air, so I guess it can't be the shittiest.  It just won't extend up.  It won't tighten all the way and the fan part is too heavy so it just slides back down.  It's just as well because when you try to put it back up, the entire fan part of it comes off the base.

Sears has been here 3 times to fix the A/C.  It's still leaking.  Enrique finally found the problem.  The water is going through the pipe, around to the back of the unit and dumping into the pan.  Then the pan overflows, soaking the attic floor and ultimately dripping onto my bed.  Enrique doesn't know how to fix it so we have to wait for Sears to come out again.  It's so fucking hot up here.  I can run the A/C if I vacuum 10 gallons out of the pan and dump it in the tub.  I can't physically do that in my present state.  And Enrique has been working 14 hour days.  I don't expect him to do it when he gets home either.

I'm too hot to rant, this was more of a whine. 

There's AC at the hospital.  Maybe I should go into labor now.

That really sucks.  I can't sleep for shit when it's hot.  And I've never even been pregnant.  I haven't the foggiest idea how uncomfortable that must be.

Well, I went up there and vacuumed out the water.  It wasn't too bad.  Enrique got home just in time to carry the 10 gallon bin down the attic stairs.  So I had AC for a night.  It took all night for the temp to drop from 85 to 75.

Move to a drier climate and the AC won't suck out so much moisture.

It really should be tied in to the house plumbing drain line, or run all the way to the outside of the house; instead of a drip pan.

Oh it does.  The drip pan and the unit both have a pipe coming from them.  They meet up and run to the outside of the house.  But for some reason the water isn't going down the pipe that runs outside the house, it's going back to the pan.

Oh. There could only be two reasons then that it isn't draining. Either it's clogged up, or it has a spot somewhere that doesn't 'flow' downhill. If all the pipe has a visible downward slant all the way out (so the water flows 'downhill'); then it's clogged. They should know that before leaving the shop.

Oh - there IS one more thing that could cause that. If they used too small a diameter of drain pipe; small enough that the water flow can't keep up with the drip. That's pretty unlikely, but hearing your experience with them, it's something to keep in mind.
