Another newbie

Hello everyone!

My name is Davor (27) and I'm from Europe.  I really love Apple hardware, music, star trek, blogging and gaming on my Wii. I was googling for interesting online forums and I found this one. It looks cool so far. I am also running a blog at: http://davortech.wordpress.com feel free to have a look.

I am here to contribute of course. I am a member on many forums and I always do my best to contribute as much as I can. I just thought before I get involved in here that people should get to know me better. Another way one can get to know me is by reading my blog too.

I'm afraid that if I click on that link I'll be taken to some site which will check my computer for spyware again.  Then, I'll download their awesome super duper program to clean my computer of all that nasty spyware only to find that it made the problem so much worser.

Also, I don't welcome new people because the majority of them don't last beyond 10 posts.

Ok, I see that other name  for this section is "Bash on the new users" ... I don't care about how many posts i write. It's about quality not quantity imho.

Understand that we get a LOT of people who sign up here and post OMG HAI READ MY BLOG PLZ KTHX!!!  Sometimes they're trying to boost readership.  Often it's a phishing site.  Once in a blue moon, it's an honest poster introducing himself.

So if you're serious, put your blog in your profile and contribute to the discussion in meaningful ways.

You're getting pretty defensive for somebody who only had a single suggestion offered to him. Yes, it is about quality posts, not postwhoring. Your introduction was not bad, with the exception of a blog link. That's it. Hardly "Bash on the new users" imho. Take a look around at the other new users introductions and see the reactions from the ones who post external links and the one who do not. WORLD OF DIFFERENCE.

Anywho, welcome aboard and I do hope you stay and bring some interesting insights and topics for discussion. For instance, if you had a ten pound wheel of Gouda cheese sitting in your fridge, what would you do with it? This is a legit question for scientific purposes, I assure you.
