A sack of monkeys in my pocket!

Damn you, Ivan, now I'm going to have to bust out my "Pod People" DVD.  Maybe followed by some Cave Dwellers.

Ha Cave Dwellers... Forgot about that one.

Hey, it's the cast party for Cats! It's Betty Buckley & she's eating Dick Van Patten!

My name is Pierre. I come to have sex with your family.

Bahaha That is one of my favorites that never gets quoted.

And pears can fuck off too. B/c they're gorgeous little beasts, but they're ripe for HALF AN HOUR... and you're never there!

No, no... don't ripen yet, don't ripen yet. Wait 'til he goes out of the rooooom... Ripen, now, now, NOW!

Definite Article is a good one too. As much as I don't want to claim that his cross-dressing is that big a part of his schtick, it's always a little sad when he's w/out make-up. I guess b/c he's pretty physical & it sort of accents facial expressions & such.

Love him.

Where's the money, Ben? WHERE'S THE MONEY?!

Ha ha

I have no experience, but I'm a big fan of money. I like it, I use it, I have a little... I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I'd like to put more in that jar. That's where you come in.

That's what that made me think of... for some reason.

Seriously,

I just bought a unicycle.

Wat Teh Fug

I feel like it's one of those things that you'll always be happy you own... Maybe? I don't know. There are certainly internet buys you could be more ashamed of.

Ya gonna take that bad boy off-road?

Heh, but seriously. Really?

Edit: Cookie choices aside, I just noticed you seem to be a fan of the Izzard. Here, you may enjoy this:

Seriously, really. Oatmeal raisin cookies are kind of like fruitcake... before someone took it too far.

And I am! He's one of the best, no doubt. I fell in love in the late 90's, after seeing DtK & watching it so often that I can mouth the entire special (but don't generally, @ the risk of looking like a douche). Still his best, I firmly believe. I'll definitely mosey on over there & post a few of my favorites quotes!

My favourite cookie is no longer winning.  I just can't get into the oreos for some reason.

I have to agree on the Chips Ahoy. Oreos are an "every once & awhile" kind of cookie. Chocolate chip is where it's @.

The whole comic thing? I didn't get it. I cringed, but that was about it and my volume was on full blast. I think I'm broken.

Nah. you're just not a weenie.  :-)

I'm glad that it managed to achieve more than local cult status though.  It's still one of the best shows that was ever on television, hands down.

Indeed.

Every time the little "MST3K info" thing pops up in the lower left-hand corner, I get a bit sad knowing that it's long since over.

Neat story, for sure.  8-)

Chocolate covered Oreos are pretty amazing.

I'm a fan of oatmeal raisin cookies. Though you can never go wrong w/chocolate chip.

Sooo... didn't have the sound down as low as I thought I did for the comic. Gasps & "eee"s insued. *shivers*

Creeptastic.

Frank also co-created Cartoon Dump, an on-line video series that makes fun of childrens' cartoon TV shows, and features some godawful cartoons from the past. Once a month, Frank and the troup perform a live version of Cartoon Dump at the Steve Allen Theater in LA. Since my entire family are MST3K/CT fans, this will be a family excursion in the near future -- especially after we found out that Joel has recently joined the live theater cast!

I'll definitely be finding him in the Twitterverse!

I'd never heard of Cartoon Dump until you mentioned it. Looks like I would have found out about it if I'd perused the the Rifftrax forums. I see you can buy the episodes. Another MST3K-related addiction is fine by me!

I didn't get into MST3K 'til I could grasp @ least 50% of the humor (around age ten), but since then, I've been hooked. Didn't catch Frank, Joel, etc. when they originally aired, which is just as well, b/c I was a little older/wiser by the time I caught the bulk of the series. I have all the box sets & I actually received a Tom Servo replica a couple Christmases ago. Heh That may be more sad than cool... not really sure. I have a handful of friends/family who enjoy the series. That I can geek out w/people on here about it, too, makes me giddy.

So Member #939, is it? What are these stories I hear of?  :-D

My number is @ 25ish this year, not including cheap (or free) local club shows & such. Also, if we're counting Bonnaroo, Jazzfest, & Edgefest as one concert a piece.

My last one was Death Cab, August 13th. They sounded great, but I'm not a big fan of anything post-Transatlanticism, so I wasn't extremely thrilled w/the playlist.

Next one is Weird Al on the 22nd, I believe. But I'm reeeally excited for the following one: They Might Be Giants @ Cain's Ballroom on the 25th. One of my favourite concert venues, for sure.

When this movie comes out for download I have intentions of MST3King it so if you just wait until then you can get both at once!

I'm definitely intrigued!

I just had my first Rifftrax Live experience a week ago. Sooo good. There was a great turnout too. I'm a big MST3K fan & rarely meet anyone who appreciates it, so it was pretty cool to be surrounded by others.

I don’t get people who are unnecessarily rude to the staff @ a place.

I waited tables for about four years. As long as you’re good @ smoothing things over, & get the point across that you’re not going to put up w/b.s., you don’t come across too many jerks. I always enjoyed the experience.

I worked @ Hooters for about a year. During my first week, a guy ordered "some Hooterade" for his son. Thinking he was just trying (unsuccessfully) to be funny, I somewhat snarkily replied, “oh, right. And a shish keboob, as well? Very good, sir.” I found out a few moments later that Hooterade was an actual menu item. I felt like an ass. I always expected to deal w/misogynistic idiots from time to time, but it was never really a problem.

Anyway.

And then I, uh… found a ten dollar bill.

I'm pure evil.  It's nice.  You should try it.

Hmm... like ol' Bill Shakespeare wrote: The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones - yet they should always be charitable to the wait staff, lest they masticate venison previously spat upon.

Something like that.

If internet gets cut off of the necessity list, I'll let you guys know.

You could always start a fund on here.

I know I'm just an "annoying newbie" here & don't really matter, but I hope the surgery goes swimmingly & that she makes a swift recovery!

I hope lots of puns were harmed in the making of that menu. Honky Catfish, The Longfin & Winding Road, Scallop, Up, & Away, Rock Lobster (of course, I guess that one can remain untouched), etc.

You shouldn't.  Not exclusively, anyway.

Well, I don't use it for pure evil, I'll put it that way.

If you've built a lot of computers, chances are you have no idea how to rub anyone the right way.

...zing?  :-(

Bahahaha

Humblebrag. I like it.

Me? Pretentious? Never gotten that before.... Pretentious is a mix of pride and, well, pride. I said that you cannot dampen my spirits, is that because they are prideful? Absolutely not! It is because I really don't care what people say about me, i know who i am and that's really all that matters......

Having 'nosehair clippers' does not make you a n00b... Using them pretending you are a geek, zing! that's it....

It is because I condescend n00bs that makes me sensitive.... I don't like n00bs because they aren't geeks... does that mean that I ONLY like geeks? Absolutely not! I don't like n00bs because they, well, it is hard to explain..... thanks for the welcome, Vic! I do differentiate n00bs from geeks, and generally avoid the n00bs unless one starts a conversation.

I'm confused. So what qualifies one as a geek? B/c the way I see it, there are more than just computer geeks. I'm getting the vibe that that is the only type you recognize.

You're surprised anyone would accuse you of being pretentious, yet it sounds like you're no stranger to hasty assumptions, given that your introduction implies you think yourself superior to everyone else your own age. Maybe that's just me. You claim you don't get along w/other teens (except for one other worthy geek), yet you claim that it's not b/c they're not geeks? What is it then? I can't imagine that "people pretending to be geeks when they aren't" is that much of a problem when you're in intermediate high school. Just how many of these geek posers have you come into contact with? Taking into account, of course, that having a lot of nosehair clippers & knowing how to use them doesn't mean a person thinks themself a geek. And so what if they do? The term has gotten pretty loose over the years. Can't a "nOOb" just be a burgeoning geek...?

Anyway.

There's nothing wrong w/being proud of one's "geeky" status, but starting off w/"are there any real geeks here? B/c I'm tired of nOObs," is going to rub people the wrong way, regardless of how many computers they have or haven't built.

It depends on my mood and what the definition of "best" is.

Good point. It’s easy to make listing movies much harder than it needs to be. What makes me laugh the most, feel the most, think the most, etc.?

I usually credit Big Fish as my favourite, but I suppose it holds personal meaning...

You see, my biological father is a tuna.
