O.K I understand that the accomplished 'hackers' dislike posts like this but how else is a guy supposed to learn...

I've looked everywhere for info on getting into a simple website but have so far had no luck. I've read tons of articles on IP sniffing port scanning and the like but I'm still at a loss at how to do this. Could anyone give a DETAILED account on how to do this - I was thinking along the lines of a site like http://www.qstart.com/renee. Either post it here - which would help lots of people that are in a similar predicement - or p.m me.  Oh yea I've tried that sub 7 thingy - without blowing up my P.C   - but it says that I need to get server version 1.2 but I have no idea where to get this from. I managed to get the Sub7 download from a german site and am pretty sure it wasn't there. The official site didn't work either. Any ideas? finally how would one go about getting into Hotmail - its not AOL :) - I have got that munga bunga cracker but am unsure of how to make it do a straight hack ( ie doing every combination it can). I have also got some cookies from Kazaa but these have so far proved unuasable as they are encoded or summat.

Bear in mind all of you were at this stage at one point in your life so don't get all pissed off and moody.

No. I am sorry. There was never a point in my life where I wanted to hack Hot Mail and read other people's SPAM, nor hack some site.

Um... I'm speachless.  Did you read any of the other threads before you started in on this inane crap that you seem to think that everybody here would want to know about?

THIS IS NOT A HACKING SITE!

Chris, seriously, you should add a 'Newbie' forum here just to remove this kind of crap from our daily lives.

You can stick around and make a few new internet buddies if you'd like. You don't have to storm around here mad that no one helped you with your hacking saga.

Yeah... sorry if I seemed a bit harsh there, but you obviously didn't read the Forum Rules at the top of this forum.

I didn't think it was too harsh, but I toned it down a lot.

It's not as bad as some people that we have seen over at Hacker Network. Some of them just keep on going and going about how they were right about asking for hacking adivce, and how we're all wrong for not helping them.

Sometimes it isn't easy to do that task as it seems. First of all you must realize that the provider of the web services employ's their owen counter-measures to prevent you from actually accessing anyones site without authorization or the right user rights. This can be hard to get by with and will be audited. You must first be able to gain access to a account, or to the server's root directory. Sometimes you can get in my brute force by skimming all users ftp accounts to see if you can access a users directory. Sometimes you have to get someone to receive a Subseven server connection so that you can use a client package to access their computer. You may try emailing this or however you do it. But, as I mentioned before, service providers normally audit their systems so your access will be time limited, and you can't maintain a connection for very long. Always cover your tracks, and delete log files behind you. If, possible. You may try to gain access by fooling the receipiant that you are the administrator and you need access to there files to do an update, and need there user account password. You should know there userid already. Anyhow, good luck and keep searching. Also, if you want to access just some sites just go to a Warez site, and look for direct downloads, that will set you on track.

Never mind I got a half answer elsewhere

now I just need to find the Sub7 website to get the new server  ...any ideas?

[/i]Yes, but I didn't know you were under 21 until you said that just then.

With this kiddie who started this thread, I thought he was younger than he actually is.

Take that as a compliment, hobgob.

Update!!!
« Reply #23 on: August 07, 2002, 10:31:44 PM »

I've just found the sub seven official english site. I was having problems with the german one as I missed the error message. After sorting a few things out I'm getting the 2.0 server. I have tried - with office hack or summat - to brute force my way into the http://www.qstart.com/renee but to no avail. After 30 mins I got bored and decided to give in. I am still looking around for wwwhack as a way to hack via FTP. I've found my next target to hack :D It'd be cool to get into the server and I have traced the main IP. It is passworded when you try and FTP into it - this is where wwwhack will come in - and Its impossible to telnet into it. Still I'm sure I'll be able to bring subseven into the equation to sort it out :)

You're going to need to open the server on the server in order for it to work. Good luck doing that.

Generally most admins will see something like Sub 7 coming from a mile away.
