My mother nearly killed me because of that. Now whenever she wants to reminisce over my high school years, she takes out that tenth grade photo and sighs, and I say "What's wrong, mother?" and she says, "You look stoned in this picture. Where you stoned? I'll bet you were stoned!" and of course I say, "No mother, nobody's picture looks good." And then she gives me shit about the Motorhead shirt. STILL.

Heh, after my mom found out I used to have a drug problem, she was relentless. I'd tell her a story about something that occured at school or work, and she'd go, "...were you high?"

You play ukulele? That's awesome! Are you in a band? Because I play violin in a bluegrass band, which was started by this guy (who isn't in the band anymore) that was the best ukulele player I ever heard of. That and banjo he played, I remember. Good times.

I jam with friends now and again, but I'm not in any 'formal' band. I play uke, guitar, mandolin, banjo and vibraphone. I'm learning to play the piano right now, so...hoping to add a bunch of stuff to my reptoire.

I play violin for the band and do some singing, and I also do electric guitar and drums, but I'm not allowed to play those in the band. We're called the Kids in the Woods. Which is funny, because the band consists of four guys in their late thirties/early fourties, and then this random girl stuck in the middle...not exactly all "kids." People ask us about it all the time...no one's sure where the name came from.
