It is okay as long as your habits are not considered obnoxious by the majority of other geeks. I have obnoxious habits, so I hide them as best I can.

Picking your nose is only obnoxious if you do it while you know other people are watching. Or if you wipe it on stuff other than tissues.

If someone catches you picking your nose, but in doing so intruded upon your privacy, then they are the obnoxious party in the situation, not you.

the best geeks are girls, he says, being male. i went to a university recruitment thing once, and the lecturer said that the girls are better with puters than the boys! It's just the guys are more numerous. hey, i consider my self to be a pretty gd geek, i was always the best at college and school and stuff!

...I can say, as a female, I think male and female geeks are equal. Some are better at other things. I've pretty much had to step away from computers for a while (at least programming and reparations) to be able to include my new love; gaming. I though I was a computer geek until I discovered gaming. Now it is my life. Wow I got off-track there.
