It was horrible. The stench of burning modems, the screams of the
disconnected... I can't even think about it now. Several of us were in
the Politics forum when the site came down. First there was a loud
CRASH!, then, nothing... time seemed to stop. After what seemed an
eternity, I could hear the rescue workers digging in from above.
"Help!" I cried, the dust from the broken posts and destroyed threads
gagging me, causing me to cough and h4x0r. After being pulled free of
the debris,I was thoroughly checked out by the attending ISP. So I'm ok.
I don't know if the others made it out or not. I was still new there,
but I already miss HN.
Hello everybody. I'm 12AX7 from the other place. For those of you
who were curious, a 12ax7 is an electronics vacuum tube used mainly in
audio equipment for various reasons. If you've played guitar for a
while, you're probably familiar with the little tubes in yer amp head.
From reading, it seems there's several guitarists and other musicians
here.
I sorta caught wind of this place a while back, so it was already in me
bookmarks. So when HN finally died (the forums), I just swung by here
and have been reading all the required stuff, and a lotta posts, then
finally registered. So heyeah I is! Nice to see and 're-see' you...

I've gotten that error before... I think we all have seen it quite a while back, but it never lasted for more than a few hours. HN is doomed!

By the way, I was really enjoying your debate with anzac....well, up until that last part describing why you were so sensitive about the subject (I'm really sorry). But it was a good debate...too bad it went down.

Hey, no problem. I don't too into what happens online. After all, I don't know any of you in person.

Don't think anything of it,

Anzac is...extremely liberal and, to my ears (or eyes, as the case may be) somewhat gullible as well, as he believes everything his "infallible Aussie media" tells him. Paco, if you had read any of his posts, absolutely ripped him to shreds in typical deGaillo fashion. To tell you the truth though, I though anzac25 had a few points that Paco never got around to cr4X0ring. Oh well, all of Paco deGaillo's posts are gone from HN anyway, but he had a few here that he never deleted. His views on Saudi Arabia, especially Islam, are rather...inflammatory.

A very easy position for us to take here in the New World, Banshee. Minimizing our problems there have only gotten us in trouble before. Personally, I'm still trying to figure out where that line is. He certainly makes a compelling point, and experience is a difficult thing to argue.

And I'm sorry I missed your thread with Anzac, 12AX7. It sounds like a good one.

Well, I think I only saw one post by this deGaillo, but I saw several references to him. I think it said he lived in Saudi? Interesting. I was there years ago -in '90-'91. Wonder how much it's changed... what am I
saying?? It's the Middle East - it hasn't changed in ..well...uh... it just hasn't changed. Period.
I sure wouldn't wanna live there. Visit.... mm, maybe. Sometime. But certainly not live there. I'm quite happy here.
